We lost because we couldn't get in the endzone when it mattered, because of horrific clock management, and because we're generally-speaking the sloppiest, most disorganized team in professional football. That's all coaching. IMO.
How was the clock management horrific today? Could you cite specific examples?

Injuries. Lost Portis for the season, Santana was hurt last year, transition from Brunell to Jason Campbell, and our defense collapsing last season. That is what explains last season.
Twilbert07 11-11-2007, 06:58 PM Looks like we're basically a .500 team. We can beat (barely) teams like the Dolphins, Jets and Cardinals who can't beat anyone. We hang tough with tough teams but usually blow the games late (Giants, Packers, Eagles). Some of the late-game disasters fall on the shoulders of the coaches - especially Gregg Williams.
If we finish 8-8, it will be an improvement over last year but a regression from 2005. And, it will be time for some of the top coaches to let someone else give it a try.

At that point, Gibbs lovers deflect attention from Gibbs' inadequacies and start to focus on spelling errors and question the character of Gibbs doubters.
Had a very interesting incident in one of the threads after the Pats debacle where the Gibbs must go thread morphed into an attack on a forum member's character and marital fidelity.
i actually knew you were kidding but said to myself "what a dick!" haha
took me a minute to figure out how to respond to that knowing i dont use caps and ignore periods and commas.

Exactly...let's look at this objectively. We lost Thomas / Jansen / Rogers and Moss for most games, and Taylor here lately...all of whom are pro bowl caliber players. We've lost more than that, but those are HUGE losses that are extremely difficult to overcome.
I don't like the way is conservative most of the time, but he's gotten better and he is in no way the problem here...he's done a good job with what he's had to work with.

Praylow is the guy with the funny last name, which I refuse to try to spell correctly because I don't want to look it up. Secondly, mistakes on defense are part of "generally speaking the sloppiest, most disorganized team in professional football." Penalty after penalty (on both sides of the ball) is sloppy and disorganized. Defense caving in when ONE FRIGGIN GUY goes out w/ an injury is sloppy and disorganized. IMO.

We blew two TO's in second half that would have come in quite handy w/ 2:31 left on a last ditch drive. Also called a TO earlier w/ 2:06 on the clock that seemed to only benefit Philly.

No, you're too lazy to look up Prioleau. Secondly, besides Betts putting the ball on the ground, the offense was quite organized today.
