There we go....just as I predicted some 67 posts back...deflect the focus from the theme of the thread to questioning a forum member's fanhood. I must also mention my character sucks, I cheat on my wife, don't believe in Jesus, etc.

Well if all that is true, then you just suck as a person in general.

We don't need to scream for Gibb's job at this point. He is not getting the job done and everybody knows it. Let the season play out and he will probably step down. Do you really thing this team is going to beat the Cowboys even once. Nothing has changed with this team since Snyder took over. A lot of it isn't Gibb's fault. But there are some consistent issues that haven't gone away since he's been here. Good game for Jason Campbell today!

Not sure everyone knows that Gibbs isn't getting the job done in his second stint. That said - in complete agreement - the old man will step down at the end of a playoffless season.

Thats the best thing about this forum, your absolutely in no way allowed to question anything that has to do with the Redskins. If you dont drink the Kool-aid your an idiot who has no idea what your talking about, your not allowed to speak out at all against the coaching staff. There will be no "extend Joe Gibbs contract" threads next week because we are going to get absolutely demolished by Dallas. If Sean Taylor cant go and Gregg Williams decides to play the same dumb ass zone defense that has allowed teams to take advantage of the underneath plays were going to be embarrassed. We needed to win this game badly, if you cant see that than your Burgundy and gold glasses are on a little to tight. Joe Gibbs not only cost us this game but he cost us the Giants game as well. We won the Cardinals,Jets and Dolphins game by pure luck. Conservative play gets you nowhere in the NFL and if you think were just one or two plays away from being a great team in the NFC you are sadly mistaken.

Fair weather fans, are you friggin kidding me. I have watched this team underachieve for the last 15 years, I think we deserve a little more than 2 playoff appearences since 1992. If they were calling for Andy Reid and McNabbs head last week and they were able to come to FedEx field and beat the Redskins at home, what does that say about the Redskins?

Yeah and next year you'll be whining about who our coach will be in 2009. They should start a new web site for fans like you and others that want Gibbs gone. WHINERSPATH.com

Maybe we should separate this website for real fans, not fair weather fans. Either you support the Redskins thru thick or thin or quit being a Redskins fan.

There are people who recognize the good and bad aspects of this team. There are people who know we are not horrible or great, but somewhere in between. But when you make statements like the above one, you are opening yourself up to harsh attacks.

I find it interesting that the anti-Kool Aid crowd thinks that they are somehow more perceptive than the Kool-Aid drinkers. Wrong. They are just as delusional as some of the Kool-Aid drinkers, they just happen to go to the other extreme. The Kool-Aid crowd supposedly thinks we are a great team and the anti-Kool Aid crowd acts like we are 0-9. It's kind of sad and funny at the same time.

By the way, if you like the forum good. If you don't like the forum, do something different. Why bitch about the site but continue to post here? That's about as dumb as whining about a team constantly, talking about how painful it is to watch the team, cursing every coach and player on the team, but continuing to watch them. I swear that many members of the anti-Kool aid crowd are closet S&M, leather-wearing slaves who just want another self-inflicted beating.

To ask for Gibbs to step down midseason is about as ignorant of a suggestion as I can think of. That being said, we're clearly a poorly coached team. I know SmootSmack always reverts back to blaming the players for miscues - dumb penalties, drops, etc. But when it happens week after week, and we blow games repeatedly, that's a symptom of the coaching staff. No question.

We couldn't come up with a play call to get us a TD when we had 7 chances inside the 10 yard line. We carve them up all day and then we totally stall? Gibbs HAS TO BE taking over playcalling inside the red zone. We waste a timeout early in the 3rd on 4th & 1 only to kick a FG anyway? That timeout could have challenged McCardell's catch late (ruled incomplete) in the 4th. The list goes on.

The overall lack of fire in all aspects, the rapidly collapsing defense, the lack of fundamentals and inability to close- that comes down to coaching. I don't give a shit if we sing koombaya in the locker room and if we "fight our guts out." I want to win. We've been griping about allowing big plays, dumb penalties, bad play calling, poor clock management, and bad offense since the 1st game of Gibbs' return.

Bottom line, Joe Gibbs part 2 isn't working. It's just not. We're 3 1/2 years in and have all the same problems we've had since he took over. Nothing is getting better (except our QB). Remember folks, aside from that 5 game run in '05, we've been lower tier team his entire second tenure. You can never go home again.

IMO this year's Redskins team is on the low end of average.
