Alright 5-3!!! Did not really expect this. Just Kidding!! I knew I knew it all along.
Really though I like the way our Oline dominated this game. I love that CP ran for 190 some yards. They imposed thier will and controlled the game. Great win. On a side note. I'm glad the jets wide outs drop alot of balls. The D looked ok. Not Dominant. Maybe that had something to do with not having any film on Clemons.
Anyway greayt win. Way to stick to the game plan and run the snot out of the ball. REDSKINS FOOTBALL. Smash Mouth. You know it's kinda cool when the skins say they are going to come out and run the ball all week, and the other team can't stop it. HAIL!!!

No,
I thought we'd have a worse record...like 3-5 or 4-4....i expected us to lose to Dolphins, Eagles, Pats and one of cardinals or Jets or both.
Really I expected a final 7-9 record with an average d and an average but improving offense for the 2nd half of the year....the only thing that is different than I thought was our record is better.

5-3. The first half of our schedule is just a bit harder than the second. I am happy with our season. We will go 10-6 hopefully the packers beat up on the lions when they play and hopefully we tie with the lions to pull off a wildcard spot. Other one is going to the giants.
5-3 is a good place to be.

All I have to say is:
At least we aren't the Rams.

Well, I certainly thought we'd see a more dynamic passing attack--pretty obviously the big disappointment so far.
But I think this is about what we should have expected, especially with the injuries (including all the hammies and groins slowing folk)--5-3, lots of tough games won on the last play. We're just not there yet--hopefully we'll keep finding ways to win the close ones, and find a few more plays that work!

I didn't have any expectations coming into this season. It's been too hard to read all through Gibbs' second tenure. Especially from the starting pt. of this season, w/ Gibbs likely on his way out after '07 and a o coordinator waiting in the shadows who runs a very different styled offense.
Seems like it's a constant transition.

Well at the beginning of the year, I felt the defense would look more like it has the last three weeks than it did the first five. Thus I feel that this defense is here to stay.
I didn't see the offense improving over last year, and I saw the running game regressing, but I'm pretty stunned at this point that Campbell's TD total is now trailing his INT total. Campbell isn't getting it done right now.

I thought we'd be 5-3 or 6-2 at this point. I thought Campbell would be erratic and frustrating. I thought Campbell and Betts would each be on pace for near 1,000 yards though.

Its halftime of the skins v. jets game, I think the skins will pull it out (well I hope they will). But did anyone really think it was going to be this bad? The skins are making the same mistakes that they have made for years, Stupid Personal fouls, Offense stalls inside the 20, and the def playing prevent all the time. The damn corners are still playing 15 yds off the ball, can we attack someone rather than waiting for them to come to us and move up and down the field? The braintrust at redskins park for some reason cant seem to correct these errors that have bugged me for years.
I thought we might be 5-3 but had no idea we would look this bad. We've been horrible, ugly, stupid, and lucky. It's obvious the luck won't continue. In three weeks we'll be 5-6 and going downhill.
