We actually agree on more than you think...we are just way off when it comes to political issues. When it comes to Redskins issues, we're always on the same page.

LOL! True that my friend. True that!

It is a win in OT...against a team with a now 1 and 8 record... I'm not feeling we are near geling as a team yet. We need more sparks on offense ....Our WRs need to catch more TD's and deep passes.

While I agree the "game over" posts are nonsense after the first bad play--this site is a "forum" where opinions, whether rationale or not, are discussed. Should someone opine in a negative fashion that does not exclude them from being a "fan".

I, for one, am a member of the Warpath's "Pessimists Caucus". After 15 years, and two playoff wins--I am frustrated. And there is nothing wrong with that. It is mine and other "fans" right to feel this way. However, lumping all the "Kool Aid Caucus" as the "real" Skins' fans and suggesting bans for contrarian posters is perhaps the most ridicules (sic) opinion I have heard on this very competent site...

we were lucky to escape with the win, kudo's to the off line and suisham, looks like he got his hook fixed,a lot of people didnt think he would be able to make a game winning kick, especially from that distance,i had my doubts also going into the game but after the way he was kicking prior to o.t. I had confidence in him for the last kick.
Still very unimpressed with offense and playcalling,my main problem with it being so unimaginative, remember al the presnap motion Gibbs used to do? but my main problem isnt about that, its what we do whwn we run the play.We rarley use the shotgun, when we do pass its usually straight 7 yrd drop back passes with no play action pass, theres no deception on off to try and confuse the def.I noticed last week against N.E.,and this week against the jets, who looked like they might have used some of N.E.'s plays, their off's used misdirection, fake handoffs and fake reverses,a lot of different looks that confused our def and kept us off balance,I see none of that in our off except for once or twice a game. One of our best plays today was Jason dropping back to pass and faking the throw and then the delayed handoff to portis for a good gain, that was a great call but theres not enough of that kind of playcalling.Today we were able to win because the off line came together and opened some holes,if they wouldnt have the outcry on hear would be so bad you wouldnt be able to stand it. I wouldnt be as concerned with the playcalling as far as run pass ratio if i saw some imagination with the plays instead of straight handoffs and straight dropback passing

I disagree with you there.

Other than that good post.

Maybe it's time to start handing out bans? I was not thrilled being on this site when we were making that come back and when we were tied. There were several that said "game over" and didn't even give us a chance. What the hell happened to the fans around here? It's very disturbing to be on a REDSKINS website and have to deal with people that ALWAYS think the Skins will lose. Shit, I can get that from my Cowboys friends, I don't need that here!

I agree completely. This solidifies the points I made in the "will the Skins make the playoffs?" thread last week. It's sickening how many bandwagon, fairweather fans are on this site, claiming to be Redskins fans when things are going good and then acting like they WANT the team to lose on Sundays.

It's ridiculous and unneeded talk, especially in a game thread. If you aren't pulling for your team to win when they're down, you're not a fan. If you aren't wanting them to turn the bad into good and win for the rest of the year, you're not a fan. Being a fan is not about looking at stats or standings and basing your predictions on them, it's about wanting and believing your team will win no matter who they're playing.

This is why I don't come on here Sundays. I just read the game thread on Mondays. I couldn't handle some of you people during the games, it's like you're rooting for the other team.

I want to clarify that we have never banned anyone for having a differing opinion, and we never will. Frankly I get annoyed to no end when someone says "hey watch out you're going to get banned for saying something negative." That's just not true.

However, the irrational trolls that do nothing but bitch, cry, and complain from kickoff to the final whistle may be subject to the boot.

Being frustrated with your teams performance in no way indicates that you are less of a fan.

I'll admit I was a little pissed yesterday. I just wanted to see a little more attitude from the team.

I don't believe I cried "game over" when we lost the coin toss, but I'll also admit I was pretty damn nervous about the Jets getting the ball first.

I think "real fans" are elated when we get a win, and pissed when we lose. I know after I a loss I'm in a foul mood and don't want to talk to anyone until late Sunday night.

I'm pretty happy with this win. Portis kicked it into high gear and we avoided serious mistakes. 5-3 isn't bad going into our NFC East matchups.

You're right about that, but we have people in the predictions threads picking us to lose to bad teams and then calling for Gibbs to be fired when we turn the ball over...and continue to say we're going to lose and our season is over all game...then disappear when we pull out a win.

If you don't have faith in your team, you're not a fan. It doesn't matter if all 11 of our offensive starters get hurt and we're playing with all scrubs, if you're really a fan, you'll still want them to win.

These people are annoying.

I'd like to echo that sentiment. No one is banned here for a differing opinion. Gmanc thinks playcalling is a big issue, I think the bigger issue is execution, or lack thereof. SGG thought Mike Williams was worth discussing, Matty thought is was pointless. BrudLee thinks Britney's new album "is a raw, heartfelt rumpshaker that takes the listener to a trascendental state where he/she can reflect on the inner turmoil that rages inside all of us" Summo thinks it's a "vapid, smug amelodic mess that speaks volumes about the incoherent vitriol that is Britney Spears"

But you know what? We're all mods here, so clearly there is no banning for differing opinions going on here.
