From JLC:

Marcus Washington Downgraded - Other Injury Stuff

Marcus "came up a little sore" Coach Joe said and did not practice today. The LB has been downgraded to questionable and the coach did not seem all that optimisitic that he would be able to play due to a lingering hamstring problem.

Gibbs said they "might work him out before the game" to test Washington's fitness and ability to play, but if the soreness persists even that might not be the case. Marcus played sparingly in last week's loss after missing two games and practiced hard Thursday and was bracing for a full role back in the base defense before this setback.

As in the case of CB Fred Smoot, hamstrings are tricky. Everyone says Smoot will play this Sunday, but his hammy is threatening to be a problem all season as well and the team can no longer afford the luxury of resting him.

C Mike Pucillo missed practice again with a back problem but Coach Joe said he expects him to play Sunday. He is questionable.

WR James Thrash was held out of most drills with a hamstring problem and is listed as probable. If he does play you would think he might be limited to special teams and maybe that opens up the spot for Keenan McCardell to play more regularly as the No. 3 WR. Backup TE Todd Yoder is also probable with an ankle injury.

Other than that, not much going on.

You know what, you guys can say whatever you want. This is not a well conditioned team. We have guys that can't make it three weeks in a row with sitting out.

I know teams pop up with freak injuries. But we seem to have an inordinate amount of the same class of ailments and injuries week in and week out.

This has to be addressed during the off season.

WTF! Since when are hamstring injuries contagious?

Chill out, Sandy. I'm saying it's the flu...geez. Look at the Redskins injury report since the beginning of the season, and you'll see the same injury 85% of time. I'm willing to bet we nurse more hamstring and groin injuries than anyone. That's not a coincidence in my opinion. Key word, opinion.

On Gibbs radio show on Tuesday, he mentioned they've been shocked by this as well. They've brought in consultants, reviewed all their workout and practice routines, considered their facilities and fields. He noted that they've been doing pretty much the same thing as last season, where they didn't have these troubles.

Wonder if it has something to do with the altered training camp? Or that voodoo curse on Snyder for buying that native burial ground and putting up a 6-Flags on it (REDSKINS world, or whatever it is... ;) ).

I'm curious as to why JLC insists on referring to Joe Gibbs as "Coach Joe".

Sounds a little demeaning to me, is there some hostility there I wonder?

That's from his blog, for what it's worth. He does not refer to Gibbs that way in the paper.
