Here's a million dollar question: would you do a body shot of Kool-Aid off of Gibbs if it meant the Skins would win the Super Bowl?

yes if it meant we would win the SB.

Yes if it meant we would win the NFC Championship and lose the Super Bowl

Maybe because it's Halloween, maybe its a full moon. But I have seen some really strange posts here lately. Oh well, at least you didn't say all your friends that you've known for years have hugged other NFL head coaches without their wives knowing about it and you were o.k. with it.

People forget that if there was no Gibbs the Redskins would be another shitty team without an identity or character. Gibbs is the Redskins, I get pissed when people criticize him. Who else won a superbowl or brought glory to the team? Pardee, Spurrier, Norv, Shottenheimer? Gibbs is like Moses in the 10 commandments, who went to get the tablets and then the people turned against him and became impatient cause he was gone for a while and then created the golden calf. He then got pissed when he saw what happened after he came back and kicked some ass on the non-believers.

I wanted to give him a hug after Sun. He looked so helpless I honestly felt bad for him cause I know he is a very prideful competitive man. You don't win 3 SB's and own a Nascar team w/out being that way. But as Gibbs always says, in the NFL you can get a "knuckle sandwich" at any moment. He certainly got one by a team that is better coached and has better players.

But with all that being said he deserves the heat becasue he is the head coach. That is why he is paid the big $ and he knows that more than anyone.

I created this thread because I was reading an article about his entire career and what he has done for this city. It made me feel very nostalgic.

If I could give Joe Gibbs a hug (purely plutonic) for 10 seconds, I would pay $500.

I would like to do this before Gibbs or I pass away and go to heaven.

How much you would pay for a hug?

for me back in say 1993 when gibbs was in his early stages as a nascar owner i had my picture taken with him in the back of the truck during a autograph session.i didn,t have to pay anything and you can,t put a price on that moment and time either..priceless..so that took care of my hug so i,m happy and so was joe at the time but today if given the chance to do it again i would in a heartbeat but for what price? i would say you wouldn,t have to pay anything for a hug with that man....priceless...

There have been far more ridiculous threads that this one. This one's pretty far out there, and perhaps a little ridiculous, but most ridiculous? That's a bit harsh.

A hand shake, maybe swat on the ass telling him "good game"...but I wouldn't go as far as a hug.

I would suck a shot out of Jager Joe Gibbs' butthole if that would get us a Lombardi.

Joe’s got my hug. Wouldn't pay, though. Here’s my take, and I warn you, it’s gonna get a little Oprahfied.

Boy do I have my criticisms of Gibbs.2, and I’m looking towards post-Gibbs Redskins. But for me, the Gibbs.1 memories are near, dear and sacred. For those of you who were privileged to have ever ROCKED RFK you feel me, you know the bigger picture, and know why he’ll always get my hug.

Beathard brought ‘em; Gibbs molded ‘em. It's been 20+ years and we still know and love our boys who played on his watch - Riggo, Clark, Green, the Hogs, Big Daddy Butz, and I would be amiss not to send a shout out to THE BEST cheerleader this town has EVER seen, Dexter Manley. We still root for him! It’s a no-brainer where we stand on Art Monk.

Maybe the Pats will have this one day.

For African American boys/young men who aspire to QB a pro team one day, don’t forget to send a hug to Joe. During the dark ages of the 80s, black QBs didn’t’ get play, but do you think Joe gave a s*it? Jay Schroeder was a fool so he started Doug Williams in the game of his life. Like that. And so shifted the bogus image of who a QB should be. This is the bigger picture of Joe Gibbs that us old-school posters and bloggers see, and while we too scream with frustration and know the time has come, we don’t slam this man, and will remove our hats when he departs.

So Joe, if you’re reading this, please know that as PAINFUL as it was watching you lose to the Patriots, and enduring last year’s 5-11, your legacy has made me dig my heels in deeper as a Redskin fan. If I saw you in an airport, or picking up toothpaste at CVS, I’d walk up to you, shake your hand, and tell you so. I wouldn't be the only one. Probably, though, what’s weighing much heavier on your mind is, “hey Pat, grab me the hand-sanitizer wouldchya? Even after that dad-gum fanny-whoopin’ the fans still want to hug me!” And then you’d laugh that funny laugh of yours.
