Sorry, but 10-6 doesn't get it done, especially if we lose two or more NFC opponents.

10-6 will definitely get it done in the NFC. Hell, 9-7 could get someone in.

Doesn't matter we won't get to the big dance or even less win it. How can we deserve playoffs when we are only the 3rd best team in our division? I know it is the NFC East, but c'mon we are playing like horse manure out there. We just very well might get swept by the Cowboys and Gmen this season and probably will sweep the Eagles thank God. If we do make the playoffs playing at the current level, all it will mean is that the product the NFL is putting out there is rather mediocre.

Whether you are 1st or 3rd in the division doesn't matter when it comes to determining wild cards. All it says is the NFC East is a competitive division.

If we keep playing at this level I don't think we'll have to worry about the playoffs.

So there are going to be 6 NFC teams who win their division and/or have records of 11-5 or better?

Not if we lose to the Bucs, Dallas, and the Giants again. Too many NFC losses against contenders.

I've got to admit, I just looked at TB's schedule and it has got to be the weakest in the NFC. If we don't beat TB, we may have trouble getting in.

All I'm saying is that if the Skins record is 10-6 or 9-7, there will be other 10-6 or 9-7 teams that will hold the head to head tiebreaker (Giants, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Green Bay), therefore they would get the wildcard. Is it really so unbelievable that the Skins will lose three or four more games?

Nope, it is definitely possible that we will lose 3-4 more games. But, the only teams that I think are going to give us a run for our money are Detroit, Dallas or New York, and Tampa. Detroit has got a brutal schedule and I don't see them winning 10 games. New York or Dallas will likely get the 5th seed. So, the only team that I see that could keep us out is Tampa. I think we've got a decent shot to have a better record than them and, consequently, get the 6th seed.

Yep we have a decent shot if we beat Tampa Bay the Giants and the Cowgirls, but if the offense doesn't get significantly better, none of that will happen. Also, losing Carlos Rogers will have a significant impact on our defense...believe that.

Unless the Panthers make a run at it, ten wins seems to be the mark in the NFC.

The AFC is so top heavy though that a 9 win team will likely make it as a WC. 9 wins would win the NFC South, but its going to take 10 to win the NFC WC.

11 wins should take the NFC East though.

NFC Playoffs:
1. Dallas
2. Green Bay
3. Seattle
4. Tampa Bay
5. Giants
6. Redskins

IMO.

Oh yeah, look at that. Props to me. I have a crystal ball, ya know.
