Came across a new Redskins book . . . Redskins Game of My life.
Picked it up at the Barnes & Noble on M Street. Some cool stories from legendary Redskins like Sam Huff, Billy Kilmer, Larry Brown, Diron Talbert, Ron "Dancing Bear" McDole, Pat Fischer, Doug Williams, Joe Theismann, Dexter Manley . . . plus one of my favorite overlooked players . . . Len Hauss.
Even a story about Bill "The Bullet" Dudley . . . a Redskin great from the 1940s who's in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Still going strong at 85!
Probably can get it cheaper on amazon.com though . . .

Was reading through it last night . . . been skipping around. But there's a good story about Mike Bass, Joe Washington and his 1983 game vs. the Raiders at RFK. Also, some incredible stuff about Roy "Sweet Pea" Jefferson and racial injustice he suffered while with the Steelers, plus what it was like to play with Johnny Unitas.
Plenty of Hogs stuff too, chapters about Jeff Bostic and Joe Jacoby and things about their career that I never knew.

Here is a quick background I was born in DC my family are all from Rhode Island. I became a Redskins fan when living in DC until I was six. I lived in RI until was 25 so I became a everything New England fan, expect for the Pats, I stuck with the Skins great choice in the eighties and early ninetys. Now not so much but, I won't switch.
So I was exicited the Sox won and wanted to get a USA Today to preserve the memory. Of course the Skins ruined that too. Right next to the Sox winning it all picture is a headline of how the Pats beat the Skins 52-7 on Sunday. Groan!!!!

Anyone remember Don Bosseler?
His story is in this Skins book. Apparently he was voted one of the 70 Greatest Redskins! Fullback during the '50s and early '60s when they didn't have much of a team. The cool thing is he went to the U!

sounds like a good read. I picked up "Hail Victory" an oral history of the washington Redskins" at a Barnes and Noble when I was up for the Cardinals Game that is a great book. I am almost finished with it so I will have to check this other one out
