Romo gets contract extension:Daseal 10-29-2007, 07:20 PM According to NFL radio at 6:18; 6 Years, 67Million, 31Million of that guaranteed. SuperFan99 10-30-2007, 12:07 AM Let's see if the Poke remains as hungry now that he's gotten all-you-can-eat money . . . KLHJ2 10-30-2007, 12:13 AM He was going to get paid this year regardless. He took out a 30 Million insurance policy before he got the extension in case he got hurt. I highly doubt that he starts stinking up the place now. Especially because he still has the insurance and 31 Million guaranteed. That is 61 Million and all he has to do is be reckless. He is going to be the one of the most dangerous men on the football field before long. That is of coarse, if he isn't already. over the mountain 10-30-2007, 11:55 AM i like the idea that the cowboys have invested their success in romo . . . i think he is a servicable but not great quarterback, a .500 win guy who can get you to the playoffs but not win the big one Riggo44 10-30-2007, 12:01 PM Hopefully he can live up to that big contract by playing more games like the one in Buffalo. That was the Romo I like to watch.:woot: MTK 10-30-2007, 12:23 PM Good for him. I hope we'll look to extend Campbell at the end of this season. sandtrapjack 10-30-2007, 12:35 PM i like the idea that the cowboys have invested their success in romo . . . i think he is a servicable but not great quarterback, a .500 win guy who can get you to the playoffs but not win the big one .500 win? He is 12-5 as a starter, that is like .705! How many other QB's in the history of the league went 12-5 in the first 17 starts? I don't know exactly, but I will wager you can count them on one hand. And he has only had 1 playoff game in his career. Kinda hard to judge based on 1. redsk1 10-30-2007, 12:38 PM For some reason i just can't stand the guy. There are some cowboys that were hard to hate, but Romo is easy to dislike for me. Regardless of that, unfortunately, the guy can play football. It remains to be seen if he can do it consistently, but for 1 full year in the league i think he's the 3rd best passer. I've talked about "it" for a QB, and he has it. TheBigD 10-30-2007, 01:08 PM For some reason i just can't stand the guy. There are some cowboys that were hard to hate, but Romo is easy to dislike for me.I think so too. He is like Brady (not in numbers and stats) you either like him or hate him. Not like Cutler or Young or other QBs where you neither like nor dislike the guy. firstdown 10-30-2007, 01:27 PM Good for him. I hope we'll look to extend Campbell at the end of this season. I think its too early to think about extending JC contract. I want to see more of him before we give him the big deal. |
