Can we drop the complaining about headsets every game?

I wonder if we do it when the eagles come to town will the Skins get fined and/or penalized while it seems others get away with messing with communications.

Look, JG did not BLAME anything this week on the headsets. He mentioned it when asked, and continually deflected questions about that when reporters pressed, repeating, "It had nothing to do with the loss today." He didn't bring it up--others did. And he responded appropriately. What do you want?

And it's been an issue several times in wins and losses. All JG has said is that the league should look into it--maybe both teams should put down the headsets when one team's are not working. Seems reasonable. But he hasn't blamed anything on it, IMO, and certainly not today.

IMO, there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for the headsets to stop working. It's a simple thing, and it should NEVER happen. In fact, it seems more likely that the cause of them malfunctioning is due to sabotage, and not technical issues.

Does the cordless phone in your house stop working 10% of the time you use it? Does a pacemaker or respirator malfunction sometimes? No, they don't. If they did people wouldn't use them, so the manufacturers make certain they always work. It should be the same way here. This is the NFL after all -- a multi-billion dollar industry.

Especially when it happens with a team that's been caught cheating already. I think it's a legit gripe for a team to have.

Yeah, with the way things are going around the league....all road teams should be practicing 100% hand signals all week. which should not be a huge issue considering that crowd noise creates the same issue anyway. JC should be able to handle it...he better when we go on the road on November 18th.

There is a rule allready in the books if one team head set stops working then the other team has to remove their's. So if this is happening then they just need to go to a ref and have the other team remove their's.

No, that's not the rule. The rule is only that if communication from the pressbox to the field is lost does the other team have to shut it down. QB/sideline communications is not covered, because you can use hand signals. Which is lame, IMO.

Agreed. Why don't we see JG stop the game, go up to a ref and get the other team to take off their head set? It's a question that has to be answered. It has no bearing on the loss yesterday but hey it needs to be fixed. Its the NFL, they are worth more than alot of countries. You would think that all electronical equipment would work 99% of the time.

I thought it was all communications and if a part of ones teams system is failing then the other team has to cut their communications off the same way.

With the Patriots I can think of a few choice handsignals ;-)
