As much as people want to deny it, injuries can't be overlooked. Further, Jason Campbell had a terrible game today. Just awful. Does Campbell fumbling the way he did mean that Gibbs is out of touch? Nonsense

I think Belichick did what does best, he focuses on the opponents weakness (in this case Campbell, because of his inexperience) and masterfully rattled him.

Yes, Joe Gibbs is out of touch. This was the same offense we have seen for the pass three weeks except it could't in the endzone until the second string defense of the Patriots hit the field. Gibbs admitted himself that he was responsible for the conservative playcalling that almost lost the game last week. Just look at the third down plays and you can predict who Campbell is going to pass to. Gibbs has not adjusted to what defenses are willing to gamble on which is the run. Portis is fucking finished with no 100yd games yet. Yes the offensive line is hurt but Betts deserves to get the most reps after this game. Everyone knows the offense is pathetic and cannot score more than 21 points on an average. That is Gibbs responsibilty as an offensive minded coach.

Burn the film, move along. This looked like a tough game right when the schedule was made. It was worse than we feared, but that's that.

Best advice I've seen after this debacle.I take that back. I want Saunders and Gibbs to go over this to learn what perfect offensive football looks like. NE's receivers really impressed me with their blocking. How many times did the put a hat on a hat and seal our DB's from getting in on a play? This is the best coached offense that I've seen in many, many years.

I understand that it is one game but it is more of a "gut check" type of game. I live in the Philly area and rarely hear the interviews to Coach Gibbs or the players but today I heard Sonny ask Gibbs "fluff" questions after being disgraced. No one seemed angry except London Fletcher.

This absolutely has to be Gibbs last year unless we make the playoffs. His approach to the game, including the play calling is awful!
I used to like the Patriots but today's game showed how classless Bellicheck is! I hope the Colts win the AFC championship and go to the Superbowl.

I felt this way after the Giants loss at the 1yd. line and I still feel what you're saying. Look, Joe Gibbs has been the teflon don as a head coach of the skins. But now the gloves are going to have to come off because this so called offense is declining week after week due to his belief in Portis's poor running and Sanders 'shitty playcalling that finally reached heights that I never imagined. When Betts has gotten reps he's looked just as bad--look at his YPC. That suggests the O-line is to blame, not the backs who've both gained 1000 yards in a season in the NFL.

Look, Gibbs brought Sunders in and gave up the playcalling and the playbook. IMO, Saunders is the O-coordinator brought in at great expense to make this O work. Now, if you really want me to believe that Gibbs is just sabatoaging Saunders, I'd like some proof. Yes, they wanted to run out the clock up 21-6 against the cards--Saunders agreed that this was the move. And they won. If Saunders wants to do something else with the O, he needs to step up like a man and tell JG what he wants. Is he such a wimp that he can't do that? Be a friggin man.

But here's my guess--you've got a combination of things from top-to-bottom slowing the O right now. Injuries, execution, AND playcalling altogether. And my guess is Gibbs and Saunders are right on the same page about how to play things. I may be wrong, but I have not seen the evidence against this. JC--who has maybe started 15 games, did not look good on the road against a top-5 D--fire the coach!

If we cannot move the ball against the Jets and teams like that on the schedule, get back to me. (I'm sure you will! ;) ) But I think you are over-reacting to a blowout on the road against one of the best teams, from top to bottom, in the history of the league. Give it a few weeks.

Yes I agree. But were the Giants or how about the Packers waaaaaaaaaay better than the Redskins? See this offense started this downward spiral weeks ago and nothing has changed. Instead of preparing a different scheme for New England, New England caught the defense off guard with three or four running plays when we were expecting a pass happy offense. How many times did we see the hitch play thrown to Moss today for no gain. Gibbs went away from the deep pass too often after Campbell missed a couple of makeable plays. And that was the end of our aggressive offensive playcalling in the first half.

Instead of talking about how good the team the team is, we need to talk about how Joe Gibbs was out-coached. That's why he ran off the field without shaking hands with Belicheck. I have not respect for any man who isn't man enough to shake with the opponent after they dominated your team start to finish.
