I'd rather have Smoot starting over Rogers anyway.

Really? I like Smoot, but I love how physical Rogers usually is and he looks like he's gotten a lot better in coverage this year. I worry about Smoot's lack of durability, physicality, and coverage skills. Don't get me wrong, I like Smoot, but I'd be nervous starting him in place of Rogers.

Yeah, me too. Losing Rogers is no BFD, IMO.

Fabini is a big bag of poop.

What happened to the combination of Portis AND Betts. It's all Portis now and he's not running with much power, it seems to me.

Campbell holds the ball longer and longer every week.

Someone needs to remind Sellers that his main job is to block people. He's looked very average in that portion of his game lately.

The thing is we need at least Smoot or Rogers. Smoot AND Rogers out is deadly.

I am just going to hate to see what this game does to our defensive statistics.

Someone said it's only one game. There's no shame in losing to arguably the best team in the league right now. If there is any shame it can only be the way we played. There's much football yet to be played, look to bounce back against the Jets on Sunday.

NE is a very good football team, and very well coached, hat's off to them.

We need one of them healthy, at least. Agreed about Fabini--maybe it's time to give that other guy (forget his name) a try. The run game hasn't worked for either of our backs this year, and the reason, IMO is the O-line. Our best run guys were Thomas and Jansen, and both are out. Plus, and this matters, the Pats play a great run D--they keep the O-lineman from getting to the second level and let those LBs make plays. They beat us at the line on both sides of the ball today--as they have been doing to everyone. Move on and straighten out our own house.

If I hear one more person cry about injuries I'm going to puke. Nobody cares!

I started puking last month.:vomit:

That said, I just hope we win the games we should until Thomas gets back (early december hopefully). Does anyone else notice w/o him our rushing attack sucks (same in '05 too)?

Burn the film, move along. This looked like a tough game right when the schedule was made. It was worse than we feared, but that's that.

Go up to NY and get a W. That's the only way to take the sting out of this. And we'll see what kind of mettle our team has--does it fire them up or bring them down? We're in a dogfight for a wildcard spot in a muddled NFC. Forget this one, and get the games you should.Best advice I've seen after this debacle.

Betts seemed to run better than Portis for the few carries he had today. CP still looks gimpy, I wish he or the coaching staff would just come out and say what is wrong. Starting to feel suspicious here.

Injuries weren't the issue today, we got demolished by the best team in the league. No shame in that. We just need to pick up the pieces and get a 'W' next week against the Jets.

I understand that it is one game but it is more of a "gut check" type of game. I live in the Philly area and rarely hear the interviews to Coach Gibbs or the players but today I heard Sonny ask Gibbs "fluff" questions after being disgraced. No one seemed angry except London Fletcher.

This absolutely has to be Gibbs last year unless we make the playoffs. His approach to the game, including the play calling is awful!
I used to like the Patriots but today's game showed how classless Bellicheck is! I hope the Colts win the AFC championship and go to the Superbowl.
