I thought we could squeak out a hard fought victory. Instead, we got blown out. Key injuries and costly turnovers didn't help at all. But it's not time to give up on the team.

SmootSmack 10-28-2007, 07:55 PM I thought we could squeak out a hard fought victory. Instead, we got blown out. Key injuries and costly turnovers didn't help at all. But it's not time to give up on the team. DCborn 10-28-2007, 07:56 PM who gives a shit at this point, lets see dirty football. Give me a late hit, take Bradys knee's out, knock a helmet off SOMETHING PLEASE GOD OUCH!!! Kenn0267 10-28-2007, 07:56 PM They should just walk off the field now to save whatever little bit of pride they have left, if any Daseal 10-28-2007, 07:56 PM I must admit I'm on track for feeling a youth movement in DC. We've been doing what we're doing for some time, and it hasn't exactly paid off very well. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 10-28-2007, 07:57 PM This is beyond embarassing. I would be surprised if our offense is ranked higher than 30th and our defense ranked higher than 14th by the end of the day. Granted, stats don't matter, but we are just getting straight up demolished. My faith in JC and this offense has been shaken to the core. SmootSmack 10-28-2007, 07:57 PM [quote=EARTHQUAKE2689;370006]well we were shut out in this same way in 05 against the giants and we went to the platoffs so we can get past this[/quote Quake, you have to be kidding me. We didn't have the injuries we now have back in '05, or the execution problems either. That '05 Giants loss was also a gift to the Giants since their owner passed away. Today was a total ass kicking given to us by the best football team on earth. We are a mediocre team, with the exception of the defense, which is now totally depleted in the backfield. Jets lost to the Bills today and will also be pissed next weekend. We either can get mad from this game or just tuck our tails between our legs, which worries me. This team hasn't shown much character all season. So if you think all hope is gone for the year, do you plan on watching any more games this year? GusFrerotte 10-28-2007, 07:57 PM Holy Shit Cassel is in and they still score!!!!!!!!!!!! What a frigging joke!!!!!! mheisig 10-28-2007, 07:57 PM You may be too young to remember this. But in the opening game of the 1991 season the Redskins were up 45-0 on the Lions. With the ball on the Lions 1 yard line and a chance to go up 52-0, Gibbs pulled Rypien for Jeff Rutledge and had him kneel down 4 straight times so as not to run up the score. We won, and we won with class. I remember it well. Gave me a huge amount of respect for Gibbs and showed what character he has. Say what you will, you won't find Gibbs shoving cameramen, screwing his secretary and cheating in football. jrtmolar 10-28-2007, 07:57 PM Get out of here, seriously, get out. why? What upside do you see on the offensive end? I think the question really needs to be asked, has Gibbs lost it? I love gibbs and have for 20 years but cmon. has the game passed him by? yeah we came into this game 4-2 but dont forget we could have easily been 2-4 VTSkins897 10-28-2007, 07:57 PM we'll get our revenge in the super bowl! |
