I am a bit surprised that there is not a single mention that Taylor Jacobs is already out with yet another injury and missing valuable training camp time. It was barely his second or third day of practice and this guy is already hurt. This guy is turning out to be a wimp.
This is a new offensive system for Jacobs and he missed most of last year. So he is basically a rookie. He needs to suck it up and play. Tough guys like Fred Smoot and Ty Law missed very little if any time last year despite serious injuries.
It is (as Joe Gibbs like to say) gut check time for Taylor Jacobs.

Whether Taylor Jacobs practices or not may not be up to him. The injury that is keeping him off the field at the moment is somewhat minor. But, it could become major if forced back too soon. I say let him heal up.

I agree. Whats up with this kid? He has all the potential to be a decent WR and it just seems like he's a softy.

Joe Crisp, from the limited action that Jacobs has had, do you think he's impressed anyone?

I know Champ Bailey was impressed with him last year, calling him the best receiver we have. Let's cut the kid some slack, camp is just getting started and if he's got the goods then we'll see it in the preseason games. It's a little early to be dumping on the kid or calling him a wimp, injuries happen all the time.

The irony, of course, being that it's his gut that's hurt right? Another abdominal strain? I have to wonder about his offseason conditioning

Early? What about last year? The guy has been a no show.

Last year, he took a knee to the kidney and could have died if he tried to come back too soon. It was a freak injury. He can't help that. This year, he has a minor injury that could become worse if he pushed it too hard. He impressed the coaching staff enough in mini camp, so making the team isn't really an issue here. I say let him heal up, let him learn behind LC, Gardner, & Thrash and see what happens in a couple years from now. He does not have a history of being injury prone in HS or college, so I don't know what you're beef is with him.
