Has anyone heard this??!?!? DEVIL'S OWN 10-23-2007, 05:41 PM yep.......first reported on HBO NFL show......... SmootSmack 10-23-2007, 05:59 PM I'm pretty sure we discussed this several weeks ago, didn't we? I'll have to do a search chrisl4064 10-23-2007, 06:05 PM would be stupid, who would want thier best players potentially getting hurt during the playoffs. just stupid. saden1 10-23-2007, 06:09 PM No, the players playing the SB don't get to play. They're playing in the biggest show of them all. They're still voted into the pro-bowl, they just don't get to play in it. I think it's a good idea cause I really can't remember the last time I actually watched the pro-bowl. GTripp0012 10-23-2007, 06:10 PM would be stupid, who would want thier best players potentially getting hurt during the playoffs. just stupid.Obviously those players wouldn't play in the pro bowl. I like it. It would keep fan excitement up prior to the super bowl. Usually, I don't give a crap about the SB because I'm forced to wait two weeks for a game between two teams I don't care about. chrisl4064 10-23-2007, 07:28 PM Obviously those players wouldn't play in the pro bowl. I like the idea of that...but would a player voted into the Pro Bowl, that is in the Super Bowl still get the bonuses that they would have if the AFC/NFC won? I would hope thats the case. In any event, I'm all for this if its true. I think its a nice little sampler/appatizer before the Super Bowl...instead of just some crap thrown on a week later after everyone stopped caring and is already looking towards the offseason. Daseal 10-23-2007, 07:44 PM Hate it -- the players who go get the added bonus of going to Hawaii with their families. Why should the SB city get all the fun? Keep it the way it is. Defensewins 10-23-2007, 07:55 PM At first I did not like the idea, but after thinking about it, it actually might make some sense. The two weeks between the Conference Championship games and the SB are painfully long. The probowl where it is failing miserably in both attendance and TV viewers. You increase the pay to the winning team and you might have a very hard fought game. The only minus I see is the players that get the 1 to 3 week injury in the playoffs will not have time to recover and play in the game. |
