I think they should leave it in Hawaii, but they should do it the week before the Super Bowl. I can't remember the last time I cared about the Pro Bowl (oh yeah, never) and this way it would give everyone something to do during the bye. I think the players from the Super Bowl teams who are voted in should still get the bonuses, but their replacements should head to Hawaii.
I might actually watch it then. Let's face it, the NFL has the weakest "all-star" game of all the major sports. It's after the season, nobody cares because the excitement of the season culminates with the Super Bowl, and the players are just in Hawaii for a family vacation.

Yeah, I don't think football really lends itself to an all star game format, at least not after the high school level, but this could stoke a little interest. That lonely sunday between the championship games and the superbowl is usually spent watching NFL films highlights all day anyway - wishing there was a real game on - so this could definitely increase viewership if nothing else.
Although something doesn't seem quite right about the two best team's players not being represented in the game.

I think it would be great! It could be the kickoff to SuperBowl week and a lot of players spend the week before the SB in the host city anyway. It would be a huge boost to the host city in revenue too.

This would definitely increase the number of viewers. Excellent business decision. It makes me think, "why wasn't this thought of earlier?"
