The NFL on Tuesday cut from 15 minutes to 10 the time between picks in the first round of its draft after a 2007 record round of 6 hours and 8 minutes. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3075663&campaign=rss&source=NFLHeadlines)

Smart move if you ask me. It should help make the draft more TV friendly. I've always thought 15 minutes per pick was too long.

Very good move. Especially since we usually have only about five picks this will really benefit Skins fans.

From what I heard, 2nd round you only get 7 minutes. This will really make it go quicker, but will probably cut down on trades too.

You have all the time in the world to line up your ducks prior to the draft...I think even 10 min is too long. Everyone knows any pick is tradable for the right price and the price is usually very well known.

Excellent move! The best sporting event that isn't actually a sporting event just got better!

I'm not sure how great an impact this will have. Last year the 1st round took 6:08. That works out to 11 1/2 minutes per team. Take out the first couple of picks which go relatively quickly(ie: shorter than 10 minutes so therefore unaffected), a few others that go quickly also for whatever reason and that probaly ends up being like 13 minutes per team for about 25 teams. So it probably shortens the first round by 75 minutes. Not a huge difference. Now the 7 minutes in the second round will help more proportionately I think.

Good move only bad thing is starting the draft at 3. That is going to seem different.
