skinsnut 10-24-2007, 12:39 AM I'm glad you're not making the game plan this week.
No way we beat them in a shootout in NE. We have to run and will get the rythm back this week. Our o-line will be MVP this week. Gibbs has just as many rings for the skins as Bill for NE. This is where the coaching is all worth it and Joe comes through here in the clutch. Rackers wide left!!! ITS OUR YEAR.........
Sorry man....did you say what I thought you said?
WHAT?
Our line is in the worst shape its been in for 5 years, man!
It is our greatest weakness...in fact, it is so weak, we need to change our offensive approach to deal with it.
If we win, it will be because of the D, turnovers and special teams.
Our line is hurtin' bad
skinsnut 10-24-2007, 12:41 AM try that with welker in the middle and he might end up in the injured reserved
That dude is little...if Sean Taylor hits him...he is out.
I think NE knows this...they will be using a TE for that inside slant stuff.

The skins are going to play moss and stallworth man to man then? Taylor cant be in 2 places at once and I doubt your D will be playing nickel all game.
Redskins247 10-24-2007, 01:00 AM Am I guilty of being a homer by starting this thread, perhaps. But no more guilty than the pundits and talking heads chalking up a win for the Patriots this week.
I think there is a lot of cautious optimism surrounding this game, and for good reason. Even here on Warpath, our inner Redskin is telling us to believe...believe. So Skins fans, turn off your ESPN this week, light those scented candles, and stay plugged into Warpath until kickoff!!
1) The Defense: Plain and simple this is the best defense the Pats have faced all year. The Patriots are the only team in the NFL to score on every opening drive this season. Defensively, the Skins are right near the top in that same category. Get the picture? We stop them on their first drive and it sets the tone for, at the very least, the first half. Second half, that's another story...
2) Will the real Al Saunders please stand up: I'm betting on a master gameplan from coach Al Saunders. Coach Bill will throw a lot of different looks at JC and I don't think the three and out gameplan will cut it this week. Look for Saunders and Gibbs to attack early and often. I have a good feeling Saunders will give them enough reasons not to stack the box early in the game. This will be the other Moss' coming out party for 2007. You watch!
3) Special Teams: Derrick Frost will keep their offense on a long field and Rock Cartwright will give us good starting field position on returns. If so, this will drastically change the dynamics of the game. Field position, baby.
4) Sean Taylor: 12th, you just talked about the defense, didn't you? Yes, but Mr. Taylor will be to our defense on Sunday what Moss is to their offense. Sean Taylor has been the sole reason teams have been so ineffective going downtown on the Redskins this year, and he's licking his chops for pick #6 and #7. The Brady Bunch hasn't played such a saftey combo like this one. Look for Taylor to break up and pick a couple of Brady bombs early in the game, because you know they'll be flying.
5) Pride: I really think this team knows they are better than what they've showed so far, and New England had better be ready for a really ugly game. No one has really hit New England in the mouth this year, and the Redskins are just the team to kick them out of cruise control mode. I also get the feeling that this team responds well to, not so much adversity, but when everyone has counted us out and gives us no chance. As T.O. said, get your popcorn ready!
You completely had me sold on all of this....until you made the t.o. reference.....why, why, why...would you do that???????????
ArcticRed 10-24-2007, 03:06 AM I am with 12th. This game has all the feelins of a upset. I have my own ideas what needs to happen for us to win, which I have already stated. I feel that besides those basics there are some intangibles that are poping up. Just about every interview or commentary in the media talks about the Pat/Indy game thats coming up in a couple weeks. The Pat players are getting bombarded with questions of that game. Over confidence is running rampant.
:woot:Hail to the 12th! Hail to Homerism!! Hail to the Redskins!!! :woot:

You obviously didn't watch the Lions game. We did in fact play Nickle the whole game. What do you mean "Taylor cant be in two places at once?" He doesn't need to be because there is only 1 football, and he has the range to chase it from anywhere. If you don't believe me then ask McNabb, Kitna, Favre, and Warner.
airsoftking 10-24-2007, 05:43 AM One thing we don't wanna see on this forum is "we will loose", even so everybody knows this is going to be the toughest game of the season, guess what? I don't think so. It is much harder for our team to win when we are expecting to do it quite easily like it was supposed to last week. This time it's totally different, we almost have nothing to loose facing the patriots as they are the "unbeatable" team in the NFL. We have to know that every "big" team every year fall when they were not supposed to, and this year, for the first time, the pats could face a trap game with a team ready to win. All of that said, I do agree that it will depends on how the team (players and coaches) will work this week. We cant' afford to go three and out every drive in this game, we will need big plays and even though it did not happen in the last three games, we know that we are capable of making big plays offensively. Then comes the defense, as long as we play the same we did all year long, a couple of turnovers, allow the fewest "big plays" as possible, a bit of chance of course and it could do it. Everybody knows we are always better playing as underdogs. (Remember philly and detroit.) We managed to stop McNabb, Kitna, and Favre, so maybe we can't stop Tom Brady, but I'm sure we can slow him down. As long as we keep the game close thanks to our D, everything can happen. Keep up faith and hail to the Redskins.
skinsfan_nn 10-24-2007, 07:29 AM They scored 49 against Miami and could have scored more. . We scored 13. What does that say about us?
Wrong answer the final was 16-13 SKINS, and all that says is we WON the game in OT, thats ALL that says about us.
We CAN win another close one, hope the gaytriots are looking right past us to the colts, they will be in for a suprise.

You can play Stallworth man-to-man no problem. Either Springs or Rogers has shut down most other team's top receivers.
vaoutlaws2006 10-24-2007, 10:10 AM it sure sounds good....but if we are inept again on offense...it might be a long day.
