sandjack, what was the spread when dallas played the pats?
Early Line for Wash/NE Gamedmek25 10-23-2007, 10:09 AM sandjack, what was the spread when dallas played the pats? Hog1 10-23-2007, 10:11 AM What the hell? You'd think the Pat's were playing Army. We are gonna rock their world! Another round JJ skinsfan69 10-23-2007, 10:13 AM What is the over under line? Huge upset, highly unlikely. Close hard fought our guts out win, that seems more likely. I would say Skins by 3, 24 - 21 48 o/u. skinsfan69 10-23-2007, 10:19 AM This has to come down later in the week. We have the D to match up w/them. Our offense is a different story, but 16.5 is crazy. 16.5 may seem high but like somebody said they have covered every single spread this year. They were 16.5 on the road against Miami. I know it's Miami but I don't think I have ever seen a home team in the NFL get 16.5. You can count on them scoring around 28 to 31 points and the oddsmakers look at us scoring around 13 or 14. skinsfan69 10-23-2007, 10:20 AM sandjack, what was the spread when dallas played the pats? Pats were -7. Slingin Sammy 33 10-23-2007, 10:24 AM 48 o/u. 16 1/2 is not excessive. I've NEVER in my life bet against the Skins, (once won about $300 in a pool because I took the Skins over Rams, when they were the Greatest Show on Turf, and no one else did) but if I had to bet this game I'd parlay NE & the Over. scowan 10-23-2007, 10:28 AM My guess is the odds makers have it about right. They figure the Pats are good for 30 and the Skins are good for about 14. The 1/2 is thrown in there to mess everyone up. The bottom line is the Patriots will not score less than 4 TDs at home. The Skins have to find a way to intercept Brady (very hard this year) or create some turnovers to have a chance. THEN the Offense has to do something with those turnovers and score 4 or more TDs itself. chris66 10-23-2007, 10:46 AM They haven't played any good pass Ds yet, even Dallas is a middle-of-the-league (ranked #15 in pass D) and aren't very good. We have dropped from #3 last week to #5 in D, but still have the #1 D in the NFC. If anyone has a chance against them (before the Colts), it's us. But, Coach Gibbs... pats have had 16.5 spreads for the past 5 weeks with the exception of dallas and that was 5.5 And being the number 1 D in the junior conference isnt saying much now is it irish 10-23-2007, 10:58 AM If the Skins O continues to be inept the D will be gassed by the mid-third quarter. If the Skins D is gassed things could get ugly. BrudLee 10-23-2007, 11:03 AM pats have had 16.5 spreads for the past 5 weeks with the exception of dallas and that was 5.5 And being the number 1 D in the junior conference isnt saying much now is it So, the 4-2 Washington Redskins are equivalent to the 0-7 Dolphins? The Patriots have played ONE team with a winning record. Again, please don't confuse these statements with a belief that we are going to roll up on the Pats. If I were a betting man, I'd hit NE. I just think that number is pretty stunning, and says quite a bit about the confidence the gambling community has in New England. |
