The thing is there was a WR open on that trick play, Boldin just didn't get off a good throw. I agree it wasn't a smart play in that situation though.
This has nothing to do with your comment, just can't stop laughing at you avatar!!!!!

I think we should try to reach a group consensus that that taunting penalty was crap, not Fletcher's fault at all, and then agree to never talk about it again ... under penalty of torture (little Simpsons reference there).

I'm looking for the name of the time keeper. It could have ticked a little faster, but ended well anyway.
can't believe Fletcher got so many votes since he single handedly let the Cards back in the game with that dumb taunting penalty. Had he just shut his mouth they would have punted (since it was 4th down) and they would not have scored that td shortly after the penalty.
While Fletcher did look good, I can't in good conscious give him the game ball when he was a MAJOR reason we almost lost.
I think his INT for a TD cancelled out the taunting call, which was pure BS any way.
Without his TD we probably lose that game.

Exactly what did Fletcher do..or didn't do to make it such BS. Didn't see it.

He got called for taunting after a big hit. After the game he and Gibbs both said that he was trying to pump up the crowd, and not taunt the Cards' bench. Considering the kind of guy he is, I think most would agree that makes the most sense.

London Fletcher was all over the field, making big hits, knocking down passes, intercepting a pass and blocking on Sean Taylor's interception. That taunting call was horrible. Watch any game in the NFL and every time a player makes a big hit to force fourth down they do something to pump up the crowd. Some are more animated than others (i.e. Shawn Merriman). You never see that call made. I truly believe the league have it in for the Skins. They get more B.S. calls. The hit by LaRon Landry was questionable also.

We knew how it was going to be going in, or at least should have anyway.
Our first drive would have ended if it wasn't for Dockett getting called for a late it that was no worse than Landry's.
I don't think many crews would have called Fletcher for taunting, but Triplette is consistent in that he doesn't take any crap.
