Directv Supercast: Skins Games on your PC

For those out of town folks without a dish; I have been watching the Skins on the PC the past few weeks using this service. Here's what you will need:

1. A friend/relative who has the dish.
2. Secure access to their online account using their username/pwd.
3. Ensure that they have the premium "HD" package upgrade on their Sunday Ticket account. If they do not--it costs $99 (basically allows them to watch all the games in HD and also activates the PC "Supercast" account).
4. Make sure you have a high speed internet connection.
5. Log on (using their info) and you get every non-blacked out game on your PC (which is important since the GB game was blacked out).

I have used my cousins account and the games look great. Beats going to my neighborhood bar and tussle with Giant and Jets fans.

Hope this helps those DC displaced, non dish having, Skins fans...

Why would a game be blacked out? I thought they were only blacked out in the home teams local market if the game isn't sold out.

As I understand it, Directv is hindered by the same local blackout restrictions. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me--but it seems to me that you are getting penalized as a "home" fan for a game not sold out--even if you are getting the feed on your remote PC.

Thanks NYC Fan. I couldn't take another Sunday in a bar; last week's Green Bay game was brutal. ESPN Zone, Times Sq., isn't bad, though.

I use slingbox....I got a good deal on ebay for $70 unopened...
You just attach it to a friend's cable jack in DC...then you can watch any channel that they would normally get to see.
It gets a little blurry if you go full screen...but otherwise it is great!

My only problem now is this:
Since I don't go to the bar anymore this year, my family has had to evacuate the house during game time.....they should be back soon!
