Well... you hardly even knew that THE ADE was out there either. Big Deal. Yeah, yeah, yeah, LaRon is playing decent enough, but for the amount of money we have sunk in our safeties, I expect a better ROI. I want INT's run back for TD's. I want TE's and WR's knocked out of games. I want sacks in bunches. I want them to cook me breakfast. You get the idea. Guess my expectations are a little higher than most considering we spent our precious draft picks on safeties. I know they won't let me down.
On the other hand - I totally agree that London Fletcher has been key to our improved defense. I didn't even realize that Marcus Washington wasn't in the game last week - until it was over. WOW!
What are you talking about our D is ranked 3rd in the NFL and has heald team to very few points I think we are getting what we paid for. Last year ST aways went for the knock out blw and got burnd doing so. I'll take the knocked down pass and Int's over the knock out hits any day. Yes I would love to see the knock out plays but not if it means giving up the big plays when trying to do so.

I agree Landry has been playing very well. However, Rogers is nowhere near Pro Bowl caliber - I have been very disappointed in his play.
He's definitely improved this year, though. I'm still holding out hope he will become top tier in a year or two and working in the same backfield with LL and ST could have a positive affect on his overall improvement and play.

Oh yeah...let's not underestimate the value of Smooty, too. The team has a personality with him back.

LaRon Landry is doing an outstanding job so far. Remember, he made the final play in the Philadelphia game to deny Donovan McNabb comeback in the fourth quarter with a knockdown of a pass. The fact that we are not complaining about him missing tackles or coverage means he is doing a good job. The Taylor - Landry combination is awesome. I noticed teams run a lot of out patterns and stay away from the middle.

i loved when landry pushed rogers out of the way when lee just shrugged off rogers little love tap last week......landry was like "what the hell was that" so he practically threw rogers aside in disgust and chased after Lee

What RU talking about?
Rocky and the secondary and the line next are the keys to our D so far. Fletcher is a madman too though. Hes tough.

What RU talking about?
I think it's obvious to everyone that the defense is suffering without THE ADE.
I say we trade next years 1st round pick to get him back ASAP!

I agree pretty much with everything said in this thread. If you have a chance to watch any games live, or on the rare times the TV cameras will let you see the entire defense, watch how Landry flies around to the ball, yet he usually doesn't bite on play action, which is a pretty common problem for rookie safeties. I've been very impressed with his discipline for such an inexperienced player, and think he will be very good for a long time.

He's not making mistakes and he is making plays. He doesnt get caught out of position and if it wasnt for a dropped pick against the eagles he would have an interception. (He also had the game sealing hit in that game.)
