Flex Scheduling Question

Does anyone know if the flex scheduling plan for sunday night games is the same this year as last?

Last year, in the second half of the season NBC got to pick its sunday night matchup 2 weeks before the game. So, a game scheduled for 1:00 in weeks 9-17 could end up being at 8:15 on NBC.

I looked at nfl.com but didn't see anything on their schedule to say that applied this year. The reason I ask is if it's still in effect, I'm wondering what the chances are of Skins v. pokes on 11/18 being moved to the night game.

I pretty sure that it is week 9. But Smooty would probably know for sure.

Thank god for that flex scheduling. Man, was the Saints @ Seattle game boaring or what? NBC thinks, hmm...two teams that made the playoffs last year, it should be a good game, right? WRONG!

They should make it apply to the whole season.

How would you choose the first couple of games? They wait to make the games featuring 2 playoff teams. When the season started people thought that the Saints and Seahaws would be winning their division right now but they are not.

I'm going to Dallas for the 11/18 game. It's been my gut feeling since the summer that the game will be picked for sunday night.

Right now it's scheduled for 1:00, which is 12:00 local time. Makes for an early tailgate. If it isn't picked by nbc, there's always a chance that Fox moves it to 4:15 for greater coverage.

That is true Freddy they did that with the 2005 game in DC against the boys and you know how that turned out.

I really don't think too many people would be interested in watching two 0-3 or 0-4 teams going at it.
