It bothers me that for the 2nd straight year, we failed to put the Giants in a significant early season hole when the opportunity was there. Gibbs stubbornly played into their hands by not exploiting a weak Giants secondary either time. I'm afraid that the meeting in Jersey will just be another loss if we insist on running the ball after GB and Dallas gave everyone a blueprint for attacking the Giants D via the pass.

Redskins are only 11 points from being undefeated. I am concerned about the O line injuries.

We may have lost to GB, but there's no way you can convince me they are a better team.

I don't think that any teams in the East is better than any other teams right now. The Cowboys are playing big-time football (Com'on, it was New England that beat them.) Skins and Giants are starting to show more life and the ability to win games, but I'm not overly convinced that we are a top team in the NFC no matter what the record says. We are without a doubt 100% better than last year, but that's like saying were the head cashier at Wal-Mart. Sounds good, but don't mean anything.
We are a top 10 NFL team, and could be higher, we just need to find a way to win more of the close ones.

Agreed. I really do feel the top three teams are in the NFC East. I don't think I was being too homerish.

No disrespect intended, I concur with the Giants statement, but how can you justify your statement that the Skins "are starting to show more life and the ability to win games" when they have lost 2 of thier last 3 games? Not to mention they were leading at halftime in those 2 losses.

agreed 100% with this, if we played them 2 more times, we would win both. im sure of it.

you have a point but let me explain. the skins defense has been outstanding especially the last few games. our offense looked terrible last week againsed green bay but dont expect santana moss to ever have a game like that again. a very bad game, but yes the skins are improving.

I think what tends to happen is we all think our team is better than what they really are. If we were a really good team (this includes coaching too) we don't blow a 14 point lead at home to the NYG. Good teams simply don't do that. Good teams don't drop passes that kill drives. Good teams don't struggle with a bad Miami team at home. Good teams don't constantly fumble. Good teams don't burn timeouts in the 2nd half of games to think about what play to run on 4th down.

Honestly, right now, we are just an average football team. I know people don't want to hear it but it's the truth and sometimes the truth hurts. With that being said if we can cut out the stupid mistakes then we can be a good team and maybe even a playoff team.
