Ron Springs in coma

That is sad news to hear. I wish Shawn and his family the best.

Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel is actually scheduled to air a piece on Springs and Everson Walls this coming Tuesday.

I wonder what they'll do now? Will they scrap the piece, or update it.

There's really no way to imagine the heartbreak that one goes through during this process.

My father passed away in a similar fashion about 10 years ago, and it's devastating to a family to have to sit bedside and just sort of wait it out. It's almost as if you want to expidite the process to end the suffering, but all you can do is wait and pray.

All my thoughts and prayers go out to the Springs' family, and all families that have to experience the pain that is associated with any/all forms of trauma like this.

My best goes out to the Springs family, as well as anyone else that has been in a similar situation. There aren't any words to describe what his family are going through right now. I just really hope that they will be able to pull through this tough time together.

I say we go win this game for the Springs Family!!!!

god bless the springs family. Shawn need to take care of his family and not worry about football. There are things more important than a silly sport.
