SFREDSKIN 10-15-2007, 01:07 AM Call me crazy, nuts, insane. We will make up for this loss by beating none other than the Patriots in 2 weeks. I say rest the wounded moss, Portis, Rabach for one week and come out fired up against the Patriots, I know we match up well and can do it.

You're crazy, nutts and insane! LOL
I hope you're right...right now the Pats are looking like the best team the world has seen in many years, if not ever. I hate it too, but you can't ignore what they've done. We'd have to be perfect to beat them.
Frost 10-15-2007, 01:16 AM Come on man...we're 3-2 right now, and we just lost to the 2nd best team (record wise...now best team) in the NFC by only 3 points. Our D has only let up 13 points in the last two games to very good offensive teams. This is no need to call it a season, or think we can't make the playoffs.
Sure our O is hurting right now, but we should get Wade and Rabach back next week, and if you think we're going to lose to Arizona, you're wrong. We'll be 4-2 after next week...so that means you think we'll go 4-6 or 3-7 the rest of the way out...no way. We will finish with A MINIMUM of 9 wins, and we WILL make the playoffs.
I really hope you are right, We had so many chances to win this game.
Our defense dominated but our offense was awful (receivers). If the packers would have dominated us hands down I would have given them props, but no, WE lost this game. I don't think I've been this mad since the steve spurrier days. I know everyone is angry and my point is no different that everyone else but wow I am still in shock and I still have this feeling like someone punched me in the stomach. I have such high hopes for this team and I root for them like no other and I will always be behind them all the way. It's just hard to get over a loss and I don't know how you guys do it, wish I had a 6 pack of stella
EternalEnigma21 10-15-2007, 02:00 AM I was about to start a thread but I figured it's not worth it lol. I'm calmed down somewhat even though I still kinda feel like punching the shit out of my wall right now.
it seems like punching a wall would just hurt your hand, which might further enrage you, causing you to punch something else... vicious cycle, it seems.
Might I recommend petting a kitten? Or having sex. Those are things that make me feel better.
i love how the refs missed the facemask on one of our 4th down plays... or was it 3rd... but it was a blatant face mask right in front of the guy, that would have kept the drive alive, maybe got us that field goal we needed.... such bs sometimes... i dunno, i think this loss stings as much for the players as it does for the fans, i dont think this will be taken lightly at all, i do not expect this team to miss the playoffs at all... i do expect a ten win season... and i think we will get that from our team... much like the 05 season... we will be resiliant and we will play bigger down the line when we have too ..... hopefully it doesnt come to being forced to win 5 in a row but, i dont see us losing, we still have a very talented team, we can, and will find a way to win these games.
DCborn 10-15-2007, 04:14 AM I was suprisingly not so upset over this game. I thought we should have won this one just like the Gaints game. The Skins need to gel on offense...nobody had hands today other than Cooley. This one is over and NOW winning our division should be a top goal.
djnemo65 10-15-2007, 07:32 AM I look at it this way. I like giving games away a lot better than getting blown out of the stadium like last year.
I guess people around here expected us to go 16-0, so I get the anger. Me, I thought 9-11 wins was more realistic, so I haven't really freaked the two times we've lost games we could have won. I think in both cases there have been plenty of positive things to take away.
hagams 10-15-2007, 08:06 AM I honestly don't care if people are pissed...I get annoyed with the people that think it's the end of the world.
"we suck, we'll be lucky to win 5 games this year..." blah, blah, blah. Fact is, we should be very disappointed by how the Skins performed today, but we have to realize some factors here:
1- The weather really messed with us.
2- Our injuries are piling up so much we are having difficulty recovering.
3- Our normally great players are not coming through for us, in particular, Moss.
4- It's VERY hard to win at Lambeau.
5- We're still 3-2, and only the Cowboys, Packers, Panthers and Bucs have a better record than we do in the NFC right now.
We'll be fine everyone...9-7 teams can and will make the playoffs (possibly 8-8 teams) so all we need to do is win 6 out of the next 11 games. (I'm already counting an Arizona win, so really we only need to win 5 out of our next 10 after the Arizona win) Even with our injuries, we can play .500 ball. By season's end, our injuries won't be as bad, and should have Thomas back.
I think you hit the nail on the head with the weather comment. It looked nasty as hell there. The way Moss, Portis, and the Beast ST played says a lot about how the weather effected this team. Moss doesn't drop passes (Many of them) that hit his hands, Portis's fumble was legit, he had the ball secured, and ST dropping those INT's simply doesn't happen. We will bounce back.
And I, am very glad I calmed down before posting on here.

GOOD advice!
Plenty of postive things to take away (hard to swallow at the moment, but noneless):
The D is # 1 in the NFC, and #3 in the league.
JC continues to mature into the francise QB we need
Cooley is emerging as a premier recieving threat
Big Mike is becoming a force
Randle El has become a legit #2 guy we desperately need
Moss WILL stop dropping pass's
The rest of the guys WILL stop dropping pass's
When this happens, we have demonstrated we have plenty of O horesepower to get the job done
All this having been said and much more unsaid, all will be ok.
It's also REAL cool for Moss and Portis to shoulder the blame, instead of attempting to dodge it!
After all, it's far better than getting the shit stomped out of you every week, because you just suck!
Ask Miami
Rajmahal33 10-15-2007, 09:55 AM I don't think its time for panic mode like many of our fans seem to think and i think a lotta the problems we saw today are fixable issues or extraneous circumstances (dropped passes, injuries, turnovers lost, etc) BUT some things that I don't think can be fixed this season that are keeping us from going "over the edge" are...
- Hyde/Jekyll phenomena- in our losses (or rather in the second half of our losses) we have looked like a COMPLETELY different team than in our wins. And i even mean from an emotional standpoint. I don't know which skins team we will see after a good first half anymore and that has gotta stop if we are going to be a dominant team. That usually requires a year of cohesion and maturity as a team to develop.
- Game/Clock mismanagement- i don't think we can fix this during the season b/c of the time needed to fix the problem. We don't have the luxury of two or three days during the regular season practice schedule to work on two minute offenses and gametime signal calling...we might have had a couple during the bye week but that was squandered.
I still think we are a good football team and should have a good shot at making the playoffs. On the plus side the NFC is weak and so is our schedule. Also JC's development is coming along nice, it would've been nicer to see him engineer a game-winning come from behind victory but oh well. The bottom line is, we are what our record says we are and we have to just look forward.
