Joe Theismann said he's interested in pursuing NFL analyst work in 2008 and hopes to speak with NFL Network, among others. ''I feel unchallenged but not bored,'' he said. ''I have other business interests.'' And he also gives motivational speeches. What does he think of Monday Night Football now? ``Ron is a terrific football guy but he happens to work on Tony's show. It has become a three-hour Tony Kornheiser show. When I was let go, they explained they wanted more of an issue show and less about football. They've accomplished that.'' -- Miami Herald

Sounds familiar...

he might be alittle bitter, but he is right. mnf is always looking for a little glitz. but i think jaws is a huge upgrade over Joey T. and i even like Theismann

Yeah but why not have Jaws and some other analyst? TK is fun to listen to but MNF gets too annoying. Thats why I just watch at bars, so the volume of the TV is off.

I've actually been disappointed in Tony Kornheiser on MNF. The format isn't really suited towards his abilities.

On his old show on ESPN Radio, he is very witty and really funny when telling stories. The problem is, he had virtually unlimited time to make an impact, whereas with MNF, he's got to get it down to about 5 seconds. So far, he hasn't adjusted well if you ask me.

One thing about Jaws though -- for people who think Theismann talked too much, there isn't much difference between him and Joey T. Jaws can blabber with the best of them.

I had the crabcakes and filey mignon dinner -- it was fabulous.

I said before I thought that Joe should go to NFL Network. I think that would be good environment for him.

I think a lot of people who watch football games in order to see football being played will be sympathetic with his comments about the current broadcast. Although, I sensed the other night that perhaps a shift has taken place. It looked and sounded as though, someone said something to somebody, or a meeting took place, or a memo went out. Football was much more front and center.
