4mrusmc 10-12-2007, 09:08 PM I don't buy that argument anymore. In fact, this whole thing floating around the media and even here on Warpath, they've only played so and so team, or next week is a real test...then when next week comes....the next week is a bigger test.
The same can be said about Dallas and New England, who have they played of stature? The truth is, the majority of the league is somewhere in the middle right now, and any given Sunday the outcome could swing either way. You play who's on the schedule and do your best.
Well you have to admit that both dallas and new england have beaten their opponents rather convincingly. Good teams who beat other teams regardless of their record get their deserved respect. Our team is on the verge of getting theirs too, but first they have to handle their buisness one Sunday at a time. That is what this team needs to do. And by doing that this team will be EARNING their way BACK to respectfulness, one ass beating at a time.

Yes Skinsfan, I did see that game, and it was enough to make an onion cry, but the mark of a good team is your ability to come back from certain defeat. And dallas did that. Look I hate the cowboys just like everybody here on this site, but they appear to be the class of the NFC East right now. I think this Sunday we will finally see what our Skins are made of against a quality opponent. It has been a long off season, and we are only 1 quarter of the way through this season. Let's not get too carried away and anoint this team as world beaters yet. After last years 5-11 record I'm not so gung-ho for this team YET. But, they are gaining my trust and respect, one Sunday at time. That is what they need to do to gain the so called critics trust and respect. Go Skins!
MTRedskinsFan 10-12-2007, 10:17 PM Dammit! Way too early for this kind of talk. It's hard enough to wait 6 days between games right now w/o thinking of playoffs and shit. I like what S. Springs told reporters: "We ain't done nothin yet." I hope every guy on the team has that kind of attitude right now. We need everyone hungry.
IMO if we stay hungry the only games that will really challenge us for the rest of the season will be Dallas and NE, but if we're inconsistent like last year there's no telling how the season will go.

I can tell you where it will go. No where. The history behind the Skins is, after a big win we get over-confident and go out and blow the next one. I REALLY hope we stay hungry. To me that is the component of a team you must keep in order to do good in this league.
DCborn 10-12-2007, 11:09 PM 4-1 and keeping pace with Dallas... doing what they need to do..nothing more.
SuperRedskinsMan 10-12-2007, 11:36 PM I would love to see a 4-1 record. It can bring hope to us making the play offs. I think it can also keep the Redskins and fans focused on winning and knowing how good that feeling is. Cant forget though, the most important thing is beating Dallas.

Hate to disagree with Springs, but 3 wins out of 4 is doing something in this league. Time to believe in gibbs again. Can't you guys see it ? There's something in him and a lot of players on the team this season. It all starts with gibbs - get ready because ain't no stopping him this season. I don't know what it is, but it's like he got his mojo back or something.
I'm onboard after seeing them correct their mistakes from the giants game to the lions game. I don't give an f what level the lions are, they were 3-1 and the redskins manhandled them. When one nfl team does that to another nfl team, pay attention. I stopped believing what others said a while back and started making up my own mind about the redskins.

Forget Dallas, until the Dallas game. Winning or losing against the Cowboys doesn't make the redskins who they are. This season, the real redskins finally show up again for the first time in a long time. It's time for redskins football and glory again.
Homer or no homer, I call it like I see it - and I don't rely on anyone's opinion or analysis to make my call.
