I don't mean the outcome. The outcome sucked.
I am referring to the quality of the broadcast by ESPN which I thought was the best they have done since taking over last year. They talked football a lot and there were no guests other than Jim Kelly who was brief. (I guess there are no movies currently being filmed in Western New York. No Disney movies anyway) There was also a point where Tirico stifled himself and said "Let's just enjoy this crowd" which was a good idea. The Buffalo fans are great. That place can't have bathroom facilities adequate to level of boozing taking place and yet no one ever seemed to leave their seat. Maybe they were all wearing diapers. Anyway, I think perhaps ESPN is finally starting to get it.
Also Parcells, continues to shine. His QB Commandments segment was great. It seemed to leave Berman a little speechless it was so good which made it even better. He should have his own show.
Also, I was a little nervous when they said that Ralph Wilson is 89. I thought, if Buffalo loses this game, they need to have paramedics standing by because that guy is going to have an infarction. Unbelievable ending. Anyone who thinks that life is fair need only view side by side video of Jones and Wilson after that game to become a profound cynic.
