I understand why the guy was pissed. But it's football. D-linemen get blocked low all the time and it's within the rules to do so. Deal with it or don't play football.

I'd have to agree. The fact that he was throwing all that "he's a coward" and "don't go for my knees" talk is just stupid. In the context of trying to execute the play, how in the hell could Trent Green have hindered the progress of a defensive lineman that outways him by at least 100 pounds, without chopping him? Keep your head on a swivel and stop bitching.

Actually it was not a cheap shot. It would have been a cheap shot if it was a turnover, Int or fumble return. That play was a reverse. Totally legal hit.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's not cheap. I'm not arguing whether it's legal or whether it shouldn't be legal. I'm just saying it's a shitty way to hit someone. If Trent had done what he intended to do, Johnson could have been the one on the stretcher so I see where he's coming from.

As for the idea that he had to cut him: he did, but you can cut a guy by hitting his thighs. He was putting his shoulder pad on his knee, that's bs in my book. I would have told one of my backs to go after Jason Taylor with the same hit and see how he likes it. I think it should be a legal hit, but the guy still has the right to be pissed. Plenty of people get pissed about legal shots that they think are cheap, this is just another example of it.

I hear what your saying. But it's within the rules and I just don't understand why guys get so bent out of shape over it. If everyone is so worried about it then change the rules. Maybe I'd feel different if I were an NFL player and I had my knee blown out from a chop block or something.

Yeah it was cheap. The reason they put in the rule you can't do it after a turnover, is because that's when d linemen are out in space running fast. This was the same situation, but the legality was a technicality. I thought it was funny seeing him pointing at an guy who's out cold on the turf, and then saying in the interview, "God don't like ugly" "F*** Trent Green"

Dude had no restraint. I agree it was completely classless, but it was amusing as well...
