Time for him to call it a career. It's been good, and plenty of cash in his pocket.
It's not like he would be risking his health for some kind of good cause? The Fin's are done this year.........and for some time to come. No sense coming back next year in S. Fl.

I think it's time for Trent Green to hang it up. I wouldn't have even cared if the concussion was that serious or not. When you, as a football player who is 37 years old, have been carted off of the field in consecutive seasons, you should consider hanging it up. I for one, hope he does, that's a scary sight and I hope I never have to see it again.

I can't believe that guys was taunting him when he got carted off and basically defended his actions.

Classless most def but it was a very dangerous play and he was arguably very upset at someone going down on his knees. Trent took a really cheap low blow and if you watch the video that DT nearly landed his head.

LOL have you talked with Green or reviewed his medicals?

Of course the doctors are cautious, we're talking about a head injury a year removed from another very serious one.

He got knocked out for a few minutes. It happens. He was up and talking shortly after he got hit. He's fine. But what happens is the media freaks because of the violence of the hit. It's shown on ESPN over and over and over again. Then he goes out on a stretcher and that makes people freak out even more. The reality is he could have gotten up and walked off the field. I understand the medical staff being as careful as possible. That is the job they have to do and the health of the player comes first. But like I said he's fine and he could probably play next week.

The media likes to play up situations like Andre Waters, Merril Hodge Troy Aikman, Steve Young and Ted Johnson. Some of is legit. But for every case like the guys I mentioned there are hundreds and hundreds of guys that get concussions and they keep on playing. It's just like the whole steriods thing. The media freaks out and creates controversy and most of them that report on it have no clue what they are talking about.

I think that's what's lost in that. I don't think you should be screaming at a guy who hasn't moved since he hit you, but if Trent had done what he intended to do, that could have ended the lineman's season. It's a hit that happens all the time, but it is a cheap shot and I can understand him being upset. He definitely took it too far, but I would have been pissed if I were him.

Definitly a little classless but Trents block was pretty classless in my book too.

I know it was leagal, but I think it was still pretty cheap.

Actually it was not a cheap shot. It would have been a cheap shot if it was a turnover, Int or fumble return. That play was a reverse. Totally legal hit.

I understand why the guy was pissed. But it's football. D-linemen get blocked low all the time and it's within the rules to do so. Deal with it or don't play football.

I hope he retires. Trent has made a good life for himself with football, he shouldn't make his life any harder by playing further.
