to me, its about time someone that is generally considered a good guy, get some press. i really enjoy Favre, and his mentality. its really enjoyable to see him running around like a kid, still enjoying himself on the field. and there's no doubt he can still play at a high level. but i do see the skins going up there and taking care of business

Don't get me wrong here, guys. Favre is a shoe-in Hall of Famer. I just hate it that good, bad, or indifferent, Favre and Manning are shoved down our throats every week - for different reasons mind you.

The guy is a good quarterback, but damn every week we have to hear about every tradgedy of his life. There are tons of guys in the NFL that have lost parents and/or loved ones.

I don't know, I have a lot of respect for him as a player and he seems to be a stand up guy too, but the media just loves it whenever he sneezes.

What I find most entertaining about the coverage of Favre is the description of his INT throws. The media tends to justify his int's as his competative desire to "make a play". WTF??
I am curious why the other qb's in the league would "love to have that lame ass duck back", and Favre was "using his competative fire to generate another play when none existed"???

Another good point. If it's Favre, he's being gutsy...if it's Pennington, it was ill advised.

But now we get a ticked off Packers team. We seem to do better against "hyped teams"One possible attribution for this is that teams don't learn nearly as much from a win as they do from a loss. I think that's why its so hard to go 16-0, is that other teams are losing and working hard to correct mistakes, and your team is just rolling with whatever has been working.

So the Packers are going to play us a lot tougher than when they played the Bears. However, if we play defense like we did against the Lions, its not going to matter. I think we are better than GB, but it's not going to be an easy victory.

Favre is a great QB and very down to earth. There's not too many things someone can dislike about him. With that being said the only thing i don't like is the decision making every offseason to retire or play. It gets pretty old. I can blame the media for most of it though.

Hey but Favre is one of the greatest qb's of all time and is nearing the end so the media is going to be all over him. Wait til Manning retires....Brady retires...same thing.

I think if we beat the Packers, people will say "Well the Packers were never that good."

Just like how people today are saying, "Well the Lions weren't that good."

Every time the Skins win, this stuff happens and it sucks, but I think that is what will happen.

If Favre picks us apart, it'll be even worse.

First, welcome to the board.

Second, Yes, that is what over-paid so called sports analysts will do. But that is what everyone else, usually fans, does too. Till now, people argue that all the Pats opponents have been flukes and they are not as good as we might think. If you were here last week, you would have seen many many posts of members saying how bad Dallas is because of the teams they faced. That is the beauty of internet and free speech, you can think and say what you want.

Going back to the Favre subject, I hate Madden because he is in LOVE with Favre. The media praises him as the golden boy of the NFL.
