Like SS says...we need to wait until the 2nd half. While we are doing what we should in the 1st half, we did well in the 1st half vs the Giants, and blew it in the 2nd.

We'd been moving the ball well, Campbell was on target, Detroit wasn't stopping us in the passing game, and Gibbs sits on it with plenty of time left. Outrageous. Do you think the Cowboys, Colts or Patriots would be comfortable with a 14 point lead with that much time still available? HELL NO. They'd be striking down the field trying to get another score. That's exactly the kind of complacency that separates the winners from the losers. I'm OK with them running out the clock in that case. They didn't want to let the Lions back in the game before the half. Gary Clark inducted into the ring of fame...bout time. He was an amazing WR for us. If Detroit scores 10 points in the second half, people will come out of the cracks and start saying things like, "We might as well go home because we are going to lose," "typical second half collapse," blah, blah blah. We can't expect to contain them all game long; be grateful and amazed that we held the most explosive offense int he league to 0 points in the first half and don't expect a shut-out. | |
