I think we also need to consider the development of Jason Campbell -- he's probably not at the top of his game when it comes to finding multiple receivers. Moss, Randle el and Cooley are the targets he's most comfortable with right now.

Thrash is ok at best.
I can only see him in 3 WR sets...which is rare anyways.

If he starts over Lloyd, I will be upset.
Yes, I think Lloyd may suck, but...cmon, he's got a lot of natural ability.

I understand if they start Thrash, just to send Lloyd a message...but the plan was always...Moss, Lloyd, Randel El...if Lloyd doesn't get in the game today, he never will.

Thrash aint anything special...yes, he does catch well, but does he have starting WR talent....I dont think so.

Thrash has earned everything he's achieved. He doesn't run his mouth and he tries harder that most people on the field. With Gibbs still as coach you can't give up on people like Thrash or even Brunell. You might need them. And seems we do need Thrash this week... Solid personel.

I was thinking exactly the same thing...well put.
I do see him playing more today and making an impact.

anyone want to retract some of their Thrash bashing after his performance today?

Asking for a retraction?
Well, I'd like to tone down my "starting WR talent" comment about Thrash, with...He's solid depth....boy I wish he got his feet in bounds....then we'd be saying he's number 3 on the team and a potential starter....but after today....
It seems like he should be #4 and Kennan should be 3....primarily because Keenan made his catches having the playbook for a week, vs years for Thrash....Its pretty close though!

I do love Thrash's hands!

Nope. He played about to his potential...average.
2 catches for 11 yards, a fumble lost (could have been HUGE), and did his only damage during that return.
How exactly did he have a great performance (like you are implying)?

That punt return was great...the fumble was just a good pop from the lions guy, we got it back, so you still have to give Thrash credit for that touchdown drive.

Thrash is a Gibbs "true Redskin" kind of guy

I continue to be disturbed by the way people under value Thrash. No one is saying he's a great reciever, but he's consistent w/above avg. hands & is tough. He blocks well & is a good coverage man on teams.

James Thrash is also an all around footbally player, you can't say that about a no. of nfl wr's.

He had a good game today & he'll continue to help the team the rest of the season. He even got deep twice & made the catch out of bounds. If JC puts those a little inside those are big plays.

Why criticize him for what he lacks. Clearly he helps the team.

We got it back cause Rock hustled all the way. I don't care HOW he fumbled, he fumbled. That was huge, and could have been horrible.

He had an average day and played to his talent.

It's not that...people have exhaulted him to GREAT status, and he's just average. I love his heart and he's dedicated, so that's great, but he's nothing extra special.
