12thMan 10-05-2007, 05:26 PM I'm thinking this game is mad important. No, it's not THAT big of a game as far as the team's overall record is concerned. But I do get the feeling, if we look back at one game later on, this could be the game that made a difference in our season.
Yes, if we win this game, I could totally see us getting into the playoffs this year.
holcknowsbest 10-05-2007, 05:32 PM i am def feeling some kind of vibe, playoffs? (ha!) i dont know thats it but, its a huge game, this is a spring board game i believe. i think if we win, we could get danergous quick and if we lose well just the opposite could happen, we could look alot like last year. ill be at the stadium sittin' club level calling out coverages and being a idiot like usual. i am fired up for this one boys. CRANK DAT REDSKINS BOY!!!!!!!
Totally agree!
Win it? onward and upward!!!
Lose it, and we're Miami
12thMan 10-05-2007, 05:37 PM I think that's why everyone was so pissed about losing to the Giants. Honestly, we'll get another shot at that one. And the expectation should be to split East games. This game could be a deal breaker.
I get the feeling FedX is going to be nuts!

Speaking of Fedex being nuts, Aikman made a good point about RFK & how Fedex doesn't give us the advantage RFK did.
Did you look at the seats at the start of the 2nd half last week? There are so many empty seats. It looks like everyone is in the bathroom or concessions. That really has to change. Teams need to come out in the 2nd half & feel the noise of the fans right off the bat.
I've only been to fedex once & it was crazy loud - Dallas game in 05. But from what I can tell from watching on tv, that game was an exception. Sure, it gets a little loud at times, but it usually doesn't sound the way rfk used to, or the way some stadiums do all the time.
12thMan 10-05-2007, 05:55 PM I've posted this comment several times, but it bears repeating...there's no place like RFK. Unbelievable magic. If someone did a search, Gibbs didn't lose many games RFK.

no doubt, I went to a few games there & always loved it. Plus it was real DC, not suburban Md (nothing against the state, just would like the team to be true to its name).
JWsleep 10-05-2007, 06:15 PM Agree both about the playoff vibe and RFK. I do think that FedEx can rock, given it's enormous number of seats, but it doesn't have the intimate vibe of RFK (not sure any current stadium could--that place was falling apart and pretty small--great for intimidation!).
One of the haed-honchos over at extremeskins (Om?) has a blog up this week where he argues that this game is make or break for ALL OF GIBBS II! Not sure I buy that (though I think playoffs is pretty crucial this year, one way or another), but I agree that this is a BIG game for a fourth game on the schedule.
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY!!!! LET'S KICK SOME ASS AND WIPE AWAY THAT BAD TASTE FROM THE GIANTS FIASCO! (And calm down the crazy depressed--quasi-suicidal--vibe permeating the redskins nation.)
Redskins247 10-05-2007, 06:16 PM Definitely feeling the vibe...my buddy in DC and I have talked about it all week...this IS a statement game...if we are as good as we think and hope we are...this is a team we have to beat!
Longtimefan 10-05-2007, 06:24 PM I don't know about a playoff vibe this early in the season, but one thing is for sure, we will find out about the abilities of our secondary.
