anyone have any good suggestions,
I'm planning on going to a few games this season..
prolly the bears, maybe even as soon as the cardinals, then cowboys and also eagles... yea, my pockets are going to already be hurt... but whats good with any like, not TOO TOO expensive hotels that are not far in distance for the drive/taxi ride to the stadium... please, someone help me out here.
It's all about the metro to the game.
I went last year and stayed at the Capital Inn. Holiday Inn Capitol, Washington, DC Hotels : Reviews of Holiday Inn Capitol - Yahoo! Travel (http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-397446-holiday_inn_capitol-i)
They have a nice bar with live music on the weekends and a decent restaurant.
Most importantly, It's a block from the metro and not in a ghetto.
If you've never been to DC, It's all about the metro.

Ya, I would try to stay away from about 5-10 miles from the stadium as it can be a little scary when the sun goes down. Alexandria has a very nice Embassy Suites right next to the metro and you can take that up to the game and then take the shuttle bus.

I agree with others if you are looking for night life stay away from the area around the stadium. We tailgate after the game and do not go out after the game so if you want a close place the Radison (spelling) is very close and was just renovated. Its right over the interstate off Arena drive.

Find a hotel in Arlington (across the Key Bridge from Georgetown's nightlife and Metro accessable) or even in Alexandria near King St. metro stop. Bethesda would work as well. If you want to drive to the game stay in Annapolis and drive in on Rt.50.
Whatever you do, dont stay near the stadium. The area is not good.

I always stay in Alexandria when I visit D.C. for an extended period of time and hop on the metro.
I went cheap and stayed at a Comfort Inn on Duke Street in Alexandria and it was nice for the price. Clean and they gave me a coupon to the IHOP in their parking lot. If you want easy metro access, there's one on Van Dorn right at a metro stop.

From all of my hotel experience though, you can never go wrong with a Hampton Inn. I've been to about 10 and never saw a bad one and they have an awesome breakfast buffet.

I am also from NJ and I have season tickets so I have stayed down there alot. The Hyatt in Crystal City is pretty good and often has good deals online. I also stayed in another Hyatt I think in Betheasda that was nice. In DC the Kimpton Hotels are pretty nice. The only time I stayed in Landover the place was a dump and I wouldn't recomend it.
