My usual defense, Minnesota, has a bye this week and I need to know what the best option would be for week 5 to fill that defense slot.
I have the choice of starting either the Giants defense against the Jets or the Cardinals defense against the depleted Rams offense.
Both pretty good matchups but I can't decide which one to go with. I am currently leaning towards the Giants after seeing last weeks performance against the Eagles, but the Cards also looked really good against Pittsburgh and shutdown Willie Parker. Thanks for the insight.

id go with cardinals, i have a def dilemma somewhat also.. do i go with the texans d that sucked against the falcons last week going against miami this week or go with the jags going against kansas city who seems to be becoming a good offense??

Cardinals, the shut down the Steelers pretty good last week, and the Rams just plain blow.

Here's my question.... I started the Redskins in the first 2 weeks of the season and the chargers in the game we lost. Should I go back to starting the redskins d as long as we win when I do?
anyway dropped the chargers for the bus last week. ol' Norv has done it again to another good team.... just flat out lost...

the when I do is when their "d" starts on my fantasty team... I was the guy who drafted Brees and Colston early in the draft so I haven't won for a couple of weeks... MY RBs are good but my WRs suck and so do my qbs hasslebeck, campbell... I should have drafted Randy Moss.. and some asshole drafted santana in like round 2 ...so I lost out on him to

To nicknack: Very tough decision, but think I'd go with the better defense overall which would be the Jags. The Chiefs had one good game against a team that is falling apart in every aspect. Other then that, the Chiefs have looked average at best and the Jags are a very good defense. Plus, Miami is starting to put up some decent numbers.
To artmonkforhallofame: I don't really understand your question but if you are asking simply if you should start the Redskins defense against the Lions, I'd say no. They are gonna pass the ball 40+ times and our secondary is the most suspect part of our defense. I do think we could get a couple sacks but other then that the Skins aren't a good play against the Lions. Try to find another defense in the free agency like the Cardinals or the Giants like I did.

Ok so I guess the consensus is to start Arizona. They looked great against Pittsburgh who had been moving the ball really well and now they face the depleted rams who have frerrote throwing and half their o-line out and no steven jackson. Should be a better play then the Giants against the Jets, although it was a tough decision.

If the front four could generate a consistent pass rush without blitzing, the Skins would have one of the best secondaries in the NFL in my opinion. I hope we can keep this group together (yes, even Carlos Rogers) and add a domininant DE for next season.
And yes, Arizona's D looks like a good fantasy start. Whisenhunt had them boys hitting last week!
