Although this is a pointless thread, I sort of have a half-answer.
My cousin has been in law school in NO for a few months and he told me that the Bengals started saying "Who Dey" right around the same time that the Saints started saying "Who Dat." They mean the same thing.
Apparently, no one really knows who started it so I don't think they give each other crap for it.
BTW, 'who dat' comes from the Cajun accent, so it probably makes a bit more sense.
Well thanks for the clerification. I'll end this pointless thread with this, WE have the best fan saying/song by far over any team......HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!

Either way, those sayings are both completely stupid.
They call their stadium the jungle, why not but the rights to "Welcome to the Jungle"?

Not that it makes a difference bc. they are both pretty lame but from what ive heard the "who dat " of the saints was actually stolen from LSU a looong time ago, the saint used it for a lil while, it made a reappearance as "who dey" with the bengals and the saints fans revied the "who dat" when it they saw "who dey" getting popular. All that aside thank god for the oldest pro fight song in history... HAIL!!!

not to add to much confusion, but I remember two years ago when we played the Bucs in the playoffs, on the pregame show the Bucs fans were singing the same song "who dat think they gonna beat dem bucs".....

You can say that again. I love that song.I bet you do. In fact, all cowboy fans owe their 'fandom' to that song.
