I'm very torn this year becuase I feel the same way,I want the team to win and I think they can win..........yet I hate Coughlin with a passsion and if we must lose to get a new coach then so be it!

Let me tell you something, in times like these Coughlin is just what the doctor ordered.

If the Giants are sitting at 5-2 in a few weeks, you'll be thinking otherwise.

Admittedly the Cowboys' success makes me nervous, but I am going to reserve my judgment. The only team they have beaten that seems like it might actually be decent this year is the Giants, and despite our loss to them last week I think we are just as good of a team if not better.

I would have said that the win over the Bears was impressive, but after seeing them fall to 1-3 after being embarrassed by the Lions I think they will be the biggest disappointment in the NFC this year.

Honestly, as always the NFC is WIDE OPEN, anyone has a chance to make it to the big game this year. It all comes down to how you play in any given week. Although the loss to the Giants was disheartening, and we ourselves have had no impressive wins this season either, I am feeling a little better about our chances to make it to the playoffs this season after this week's games. I will feel confident even if we can manage to come out of the bye and beat the Lions, Packers, and Cards. If we don't it will be tough to hold out hope, because the rest of the season is gonna be very very tough.

Well, I am not saying that Dallas is the best team in the NFC or top 3, that is all subjective. I will say this though, the Giants beat the Redskins and Philly and Dallas beat the Giants even though they had Jacobs for half of that game. Other common opponents, Dallas beat the Dolphins in Miami by more than two TDs when the Redskins needed OT to finish them off.

right now I just dont see how we will match up against the Cowboys, patriots, packers, even the Lions for that fact. the first few games we have played pretty much have been up in the air. the Dolphins game could have gone the oposite way.. who knows. the philly game had McNabb made some better throws to OPEN receivers would have been different. The Giants in the second half hit those receivers and moved the ball on our suposed good D. I am not convinced our D is all that good. Romo, Favre, Brady, Kitna have the weapons that will eat our secondary up. if we dont get consistant pressure on the QB we will be in trouble. and right now, the cover 3 zone crap will get eaten up by these good QBs. I pray to the football gods GW learns how to spell BLITZ again, because if we dont the Lions are going to have a field day at Fed X this weekend.

I am very affraid of the Lions, if we beat them...then we can think about beating the cowboys. But the rivalry always gives us a shot

The goal of every team is to make the playoffs. And the first step to that goal is to win your division. I don't care if the Cowboys are ranked higher or lower than say the Patriots or Colts.

First things first is win the division and get to the playoffs. Dallas does NOT have to beat 16 teams to get there. They just have to beat more than the other 3 team in the NFC East. Thats all. And right now they have a 1 1/2 game jump on those teams. Compare them to the Patriots all you want. Whether or not they bode well against New England does not get them to the post season.

Who cares whether are not they are the best team in the NFC right now? All that matters at this point is to get to a spot where they are the best team in the NFC East at the end of December.

Same thing goes for Washington, New York and Philly.

Then, once in the playoffs, anything can happen.

Through 4 games it's obvious Dallas and the Packers look like the teams to beat in the NFC. They've taken care of their business and looked good along the way.

The skins need to get a "W" this week and get an impressive performance. W/ an impressive offensive/defensive performance i think we could be right there or just a step under the Pack/Boys.

I agree that, right now, the Cowboys and the Packers are the teams to beat in the NFC. But, remember, it is a long season. Romo looks like the real deal right now, but he also looked like the real deal early last season.....only to look like a mediocre QB towards the end of the season.

Are you saying Roethlisberger is better than Marino?

You sir have earned your punch in the face.

:boxing:

Never said that buddy, if you would have read, I was basically stating that no matter how many yards a QB puts up, its doesnt always equal championships. And just so you know, I consider Marino the greatest QB ever
