Desean Jackson with our first round draft pick!CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 10-03-2007, 10:31 PM how has drafting a Wr in the first round done for us since art monk?? not very well. Rather have a de or oL. skinsfan_nn 10-03-2007, 10:47 PM Well Fitz reportedly wants out, and I thought I'd just join in the fun and speculate. I have no inside info on it or anything like that. I don't understand the point of this thread at this point in the season and it should be locked really. But it gets old (for all mods) to keep having to lock threads. So instead, I thought I'd throw that out there I'LL SECOND THAT! Damn we just ended all the dumb ass draft threads, then we finally start the regular season, some real damn football, three games into the damn season....and a draft thread.....COME ON! jsarno 10-04-2007, 01:17 AM If Desean Jackson is still there when we go to pick, I pray to God we have the brains to take him. He is worth way more than anyone else coming out of college right now. Addressing the linemen issue. The higher the draft pick is the more "guaranteed money" he will receive. Last time I checked a linemen isn't worth a every down, huge threat, blazing speed receiver. I would almost always wait until at least the 2nd round to start going after linemen. Maybe late first. You didn't read a single thing I wrote about Jackson did you? He's small, he's only had 1 good game, he disappears A LOT. He's similar to Peter Warrick, and we see how well he did. DeSean Jackson has been doing good for pretty much his entire college career. He had 59 catches for over 1,000 yards in his sophomore year and 38 receptions for 600 his freshman year. If he shows even more improvement this year, he is a guaranteed top 10 pick. EARTHQUAKE2689 10-04-2007, 08:20 PM we dont need another wide reciever especially a small one that is 6'0" 166lbs. He would be a great returner, but with the plethora of defensive lineman out there we better pick one up. SS please lock this thread. jsarno 10-04-2007, 11:57 PM Small receivers have a shot at making it in this league. DeSean Jackson has been doing good for pretty much his entire college career. Who said they don't? Problem is, we already have 2 of them...no more room for small wr's. Sad thing is, he'd be smaller than both our small wr's. ps- no way will he be a top 10 pick. He disappears too much. I'll say it again...PETER WARRICK! skinsfanthru&thru 10-21-2007, 12:03 AM I know it's kind of weird to be talking about it right now and to be bringing back up this thread, but I don't care what the Skins have to give up to move up and draft him, but Chris Long is a freaking beast. 9 tackles, 2 sacks (1 safety), 2 tackles for a loss, and a pass deflection and the games not over yet. He's been consistent all year and has shown he has the motor to keep playing hard play after play along with incredible pass rushing technique. 81+83+84=Posse 10-21-2007, 09:23 AM I'm sitting in my hotel room in DC right now, about to head to FedEx. My wife and I also went to the UMD/UVA game last night, and I gotta tell ya, I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Long in a Skins jersey. redsk1 10-21-2007, 10:04 AM I know it's kind of weird to be talking about it right now and to be bringing back up this thread, but I don't care what the Skins have to give up to move up and draft him, but Chris Long is a freaking beast. 9 tackles, 2 sacks (1 safety), 2 tackles for a loss, and a pass deflection and the games not over yet. Long's been doing this all year. He looks like a man among children out there. I believe he'll be a top 10, so hopefully we won't have a pick there, but no doubt he's a high character, top player. I'd like to see him w/ the skins. He would fit it b/c he's not just a pass rusher too. |
