Can anyone really say with a straight face that Joey is in the same ballpark as Jaws as a commentator?

Hog1 10-02-2007, 09:49 AM Don't take this personally, but you really don't need to know. It's nothing scandalous, just a matter of people not seeing eye to eye Your having way to much fun with this jdlea 10-02-2007, 01:58 PM You don't like Mark May? Ah, I forgot about Mark May since he does college. I do like Mark May and (if we count Desmond Howard) I don't mind him either. I was more thinking of Riggins when I wrote that post. I hate Riggins. Beemnseven 10-02-2007, 07:20 PM He's a great Redskin, but IMO a very average analyst. As far as on the spot film breakdown and analysis, he can't hold a candle to Jaworski. You know, I hear more and more people throwing all sorts of praise upon Ron Jaworski for his analysis and breakdowns, but to me, he comes across as the guy who's a know-it-all. At times, he goes a bit overboard and I find him to be every bit of the talker that Joe Theismann was -- if not moreso. I don't hate him or anything -- but I don't really get all the love. Cowell 10-02-2007, 08:58 PM Jaworski is the only reason I can stand the commentary on MNF. Tony does a good job on PTI, but not MNF and I hope they get a couple better guys to pair Ron up with. It could be a great broadcast team... jsarno 10-03-2007, 01:10 AM You know, I hear more and more people throwing all sorts of praise upon Ron Jaworski for his analysis and breakdowns, but to me, he comes across as the guy who's a know-it-all. I honestly liked Joey better. I am more than willing to admit it's cause he was my childhood hero though. Jaws kind of annoys me a little at time cause he tends to get very vocal, and has difficulty holding on to the volume of his words too. He reminds me of Kornheiser. And While I like the both of them, just seems like they are yelling in the booth a lot. CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 10-03-2007, 06:15 PM i love JT he pretty damn good. Love to here him on skins radio and get rid of the butt kisser Larry Michael. Should have kept Frank. |
