It's sad, because the drugs itself, pot, did mess these guys up, it's the dumb laws and rules that got them in trouble.

NM Redskin: The murders that Bundy commited didn't get him in trouble. The dumb laws and rules got him in trouble =(

pot isn't nearly as life destroying as coke or heroine, but driving high (which happens a lot), among others things still makes it dangerous...

That makes no sense. Apples and oranges. Marijuana is not harmless, but other, far more dangerous drugs are tolerated and regulated (i.e., alcohol, nicotine, aspirin and so on.)

"For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie--deliberate, contrived and dishonest-- but the myth--persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

i'd say pot is as dangerous as alcohol or nicotine or aspirin... anything that impairs judgement can lead to higher risks... and if alcohol were invented now, it'd probably be illegal too...

The chief opposition to the drug rests on a moral and political, and not toxicologic, foundation.
