What league do you play in that somebody does take a kicker in a round other than the last? I'd like to join next year.

In all 4 of my leagues people took kickers REALLY early (starting with ~9 round) which I always question.
I'll admit one thing though, I usually take a kicker in the 2nd to last round but ONLY IF I feel pretty comfortable with all my other positions. Then in the last round I'll take a random guy that I think could be a sleeper (I picked up Dwayne Bowe this year).

My keeper league (16 round draft) had kickers going in the 11th Round. I took Rackers in the 14th...after Kaeding, Graham, Vinatieri, Wilkins, Elam, and Gould were already drafted. My last 2 picks were Dallas Clark and Kevin Jones.

Every single league I am in (5 in total) took kickers early. I had one league that took Vinatieri in round 8! No kidding, round 8!
For some reason, regardless of what everyone says, people feel taking a "top ranked" kicker will help them. They never realize that it is rare for a kicker to maintain top status.
In 3 of my leagues, I picked up Jeff Reed off waivers, and he's #1 right now. Kickers are a dime a dozen and do not require anything but a last pick. (maybe 2nd to last)

I hear you. We rarely invite people back in our money league if they exhibit odd drafting behavior, like EKSS (Early Kicker Selection Syndrome).

If it is a money league, wouldn't you want dumb ass in your league so you can tke their money?

does that mean we should wait on all the big RBs that have choked thus far too?
drafting is about outliers...sometimes kickers warrant consideration...
clearly this is being dramatic, but you get what i'm saying...
I love fantasy football but it's just a game and a fun distraction to me. I know it's not kosher to FF geeks to take kickers too early but c'mon, it's all good. As long as everyone has fun that's all that matters.
