2 of them were forced by the situation. Brees definately was bound to look more human after last year. He's going to start playing better than he is though. They lack balance on offense. Defensively they are terrible.
When you lose the offensive ability to shorten the length of the game (via the run), a horrible defense will be exposed by every opponent. Look no further than the 2006 Redskins. The Saints offense can't score quickly, nor can it produce long methodical drives. It's very mediocre right now.
I believe they have 0 sacks and 1 turnover...that's not going to win you very many games.
Brees needs to be dead on because the defenses are stuffing their run and not respecting those WR's.

You can't really take away from them what they did last year but you can certainly welcome them to the realities of the NFL. Last year is last year...a new year warrants new enemies with new game plan on how to beat you.

Brees needs to be dead on because the defenses are stuffing their run and not respecting those WR's.You don't need a good running game if you can throw the ball efficiently and play good defense.
The Saints are nowhere near playing good defense, and right now they can't even run throw ball efficently.
The passing game will come around for them once they figure out pass pro. The defense, in all likelyhood, will not. If they are going to be a playoff team this year in a weak division, Reggie Bush is going to have to average about 5 yards per carry and they are going to have to lean on him 25 times a game.
That's not what the Saints wanted to do coming into this season, that much is for sure. But at this point, its really all they have.

How about the 0-3 Rams who could be missing Jackson for a while? Or the 1-2Bears?
Yeah it sucks to be 2-1
Yeah.....and Jackson being out sucks for the Skins! We need everything they have to beat Dallas this week. Now that just got even tougher. My guess is that line will be Dallas -9.5 GO RAMS!
All I know is Brees is KILLING my two fantasy teams that I have him on. Absolutely killing me.

Also, Dr. Z picked them to win the Super Bowl. That should have been a big red Texas sized banner that they probably werent very good.

Now that is a team and a bunch of fans that should be panicking. Big difference from what we got going on over here.
St. Louis over Dallas next week? I think Bulger will throw it all over the place with success, but they will need to find a replacement for Jackson to have any chance to pull the upset. Dallas' offense will continue their success against the Rams this week.
The Bears will be fine in the end, but they aren't a dominant team. Doesn't really matter if they replace Grossman. Unless Orton has improved dramatically in the last two years, they don't really have a better option. That running game will get on track though.
The Bears have Griese though, right now he would seem to be a better option than Grossman. I think Rexy is shell shocked right now and really needs to sit and clear his head. He's trying to be too careful right now and as a result he's lost his gunslinger mentality which was his one true strength.
