Maybe it has to do with where you sit in relation to the speakers. When I sit in my normal seats I notice it because the speakers are right behind us, but I've also sat in the club and lower levels and not heard it.
IMO, what I've heard sounds more like when you're talking to someone on the phone and they set the handset down for a minute for whatever reason. You sort of hear that background buzzing sound but nothing too specific. It doesn't really sound like they are completely blasting the sound of yelling and screaming.

I sat in the upper level right beside a speaker and did not notice any of that buzzing noise or anything comming from the speakers as any play was going on. I have worked sound in my past and you listen for those types of things so you can correct the problem and I would think that I would have noticed any kind of buzzing as you talking about. Now sometimes you will get a buzzing sound from the speakers without having any fead to them just because of all the power in the system and one little thing like a slight short in any cord. I'm not saying I'm an expert but I have worked sound for Chuck Berry, Alantic Rythem Section, Willie Nelson, and a few others so I do know a little about sound systems.

I dunno how often stadiums pump crowd noise out of their speakers, but the redskins pumped it out on every single defensive series at yesterday's game. If every team does this, then i don't care, but if this just us, then i am extremely embarrassed for our franchise.
I wasnt aware that this was considered "wrong" or "not fair". Havent colleges been doing this for years. I would almost guess that quite a few NFL teams add some crowd noise via speakers. To me, I dont think its that bad.

I know its not allowed in the NFL and would think the same for college.

I was in 217. I heard the fake crowd noise coming from the speakers at perfectly executed times. I've never heard that ever happen before at Fed Ex.

dirthogs why dont you shut up and scream your asss off and not worry about whats coming out of the speakers, and by the way fedex is so loud and crazy theres no reason for use to play "fake noise".

Wow.... nice comment. I think Dirt brought up an interesting point that alot of other fans who were at the game had the same thoughts...... If we are cheating, we want it to stop. I have a friend who is a Patriots fan who is completely embarrassed by his team's scandal.... do we want the same thing?

Ok, to believe this is going on and most have said that they have heard this at several if not all the games we would then have to believe this. That all the TV technical people, members of other teams organization, and any one else working on behalf of the NFL (not employees of Snyder) have never noticed this. I just don't believe that all of these people trained to do sound and TV could have not noticed if this was true and someone would have picked this up. When you have that many people in an area like FedEx sound can do some funny stuff.
