working on his flow...
Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!BrunellMVP? 09-26-2007, 10:33 AM working on his flow... irish 09-26-2007, 10:35 AM Behind the scenes, yeah that's the rumor. I mean I've heard it from enough reliable people that I would call it more than just a "rumor" Though I will say that I've had a couple of people tell me that it's not so much that he doesn't know the playbook but that he refuses to abide by it. He believes his talent (and all these people insist that talentwise Lloyd is probably our best wide receiver) is what should dicate how we use him and the plays should conform to him, not vice-versa. Bottom line is he can't or won't do what's asked. Everyone else is It sounds like BL is the LaVar of WRs. Like LA, he does not want to be governed by the playbook and has too much talent for his own good. MTK 09-26-2007, 10:36 AM Lloyd is officially the #4 WR now and he's clearly well on his way to being cut next offseason. Caldwell should be ready for some snaps after the bye as the #3. Cowell 09-26-2007, 10:38 AM I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Randle El getting put at the #3. I don't want to over-work the guy. I think he could be a lot better on punt returns with fresh legs and would be able to play better longer. I think by week 9 we should start seeing Caldwell at #2. ARE has earned the job and has really played great for us so far. redskinsfanatic 09-26-2007, 12:13 PM i aint taking up for the guy,but if they do'nt throw him a pass,it's gonna be hard for him to catch a pass aint it????????????????????????????? Stacks42 09-26-2007, 12:43 PM This team managment i mean, has a huge ego! They pick up players that everyone in the league says wont fit, trade away draft picks to get them and then pay top dollar to have them ride the bench. It happened to Arch now its happening to lloyd. The same happened to Lavar! I think Llyod is an arrogant piece of crap too, but we paid for him, we should at least see if we can get some type of production out of him. SmootSmack 09-26-2007, 04:37 PM Here's what CP had to say about Lloyd on the John Thompson Show "When Brandon Lloyd want to be a dominant player, he can do that," Portis said. "It's just getting the coaches to buy into that and him proving it that he gonna do it on a consistent play after play, that he gonna do whatever they ask of him. And the sooner he can get on the field, the better we'll be." I agree, if The Receiver is not getting the ball then how can we truly evaluate him? Our pedestrian offense, coupled with an apparent lack of chemistry with Campbell, is playing a role in The Receiver's lack of production. Throw him some balls and we'll have a better clue if this perceived debacle of a trade is true or not. In addition, here are some interesting current stats from other (IMO "decent") receivers: M.Muhammad--4 catches G. Jennings--4 catches D. Bennett--4 catches L. Evans--5 catches |
