GTripp0012 09-24-2007, 12:52 AM I am over it I said what I had to say and it is ovr for me now.Oh yeah. When Burress scored I was really dejected, but by the end of the game, I was encouraged that we went out as we did. Doesn't make up for the loss, but we didn't lay down after giving up the lead and that was comforting. skinsfan_nn 09-24-2007, 12:59 AM Another close one as expected. Great first half, flat in the second half, had a chance to tie at the end and failed to do so. Lets not lose focus we have a QB that started less than 10 games in this league! We are 2-1 not bad, MOVE ON! Detroit after the bye this game is in the books. THE END. GTripp0012 09-24-2007, 01:06 AM Another close one as expected. Moving on now... mooby 09-24-2007, 02:46 AM Oh yeah. When Burress scored I was really dejected, but by the end of the game, I was encouraged that we went out as we did. Well honestly if this team had given up after allowing the Giants to get ahead by one friggin touchdown I'd be a lot more pissed than I was before. I'm over it now, I needed a few hours to cool off but it's done with and it's in the past now. Now we just need to work on fixing mistakes and doing things better so we can have a good game against the Lions two weeks from now. redsk1 09-24-2007, 08:53 AM Horrible playcalling really throughout the game. To not be able to score more than 17pts at home against the league's worst defense is just not going to cut it. I could go on and on but it's just bad. I see a trend here 16 pts, 20pts, 17pts, ...we're not going anywhere this year by "trying to keep it close." BrunellMVP? 09-24-2007, 08:59 AM Why does Sellers not get the ball once? And What is Portis doing on the sidelines at the end? Sells got the first look (on a toss) and he dropped the ball... I'm not sure portis makes a difference there...giant d-line had great penetration...not surprising given that probably everyone knew we'd run left. poor, poor scene. Like everyone else, i wish we took more shots against a Giant D that gave up 80 points in the first 2 games...and like everyone else, i believe we were too conservative on O, our D was too generous in yards given up...bottom line we lost and we shouldn't have... dgack 09-24-2007, 10:11 AM Tough for me to blame the defense when the offense kept going 3 and out and giving them no rest. Bingo. In my mind, the game-changing play was Clinton's fumble on 2nd down after the obviously tired defense had just forced a stop. That broke the defense's back and derailed any chance of the offense putting it together. Everyone wants to pile on Joe for the playcalling, but let me ask a question: does anyone know where our receivers are? Seriously, other than ARE, I have not seen anybody really making huge catches this season. Santana seems like he's running at half speed with all the groin injuries. Cooley's been the invisible man other than last week's prayer in the corner of the endzone. Hell, I think Yoder has made as many big grabs as Cooley. So playcalling? I don't know, Jason threw several deep balls on first down, late in the game that I felt were good calls. But our receivers were blanked by a pretty lousy secondary. But our receivers were blanked by a pretty lousy secondary.[/quote] agreed with you that cooley seems to be surprisingly quiet...concerning but as for play calling, i don't think people are taking issue with the calls late in the 4th quarter (When we were behind)- as much as they are annoyed with plays called in the previous drives...all game... killromo 09-24-2007, 10:37 AM this is why it's hard to be a skins fan. same shit, different year. the giants are god awful, and we made a pathetic team look better than us. the goal line play-calling was ridiculous and the whole 2nd half for that matter. Now we have 2 weeks for our team to stew over this loss and focus on the negative. This could be a huge blow to our fragile team who was finally starting to gain some confidence. And all new yorkers can hit 95 North and go the fuck home. |
