I was wearing my portis throwback the other day in the bar/pool hall in the town i live moved to last year which is 30 mins north of DALLAS and some guy came up to me and said "Can i shake your hand?" he said "not too often do you see people down here with good taste like yours" I of course shook his hand, and had to ask him if he was from up "north" like me, and his answer was " no, i was just born with good taste thats why i love the redskins and hate the cowboys" which floored me bc. i was expecting all sorts of people to be talking trash (which is 1/2 the reason i wore it out to begin with) but the only person the entire night to say something to me about it was that guy... not a single cowboys fans said a word which was kinda dissapointing.

Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary here in Kansas. There's a pretty good mix of fans from different teams because it is a college town and military area (I'm Army). The majority here is KC Chefs fans including most of my friends around here. There are a few Skins fans though and I make it a point to approach them and talk Redskins stuff when I see one.

Years back I had tickets to the Redskins vs Dallas game here in DC and my boss decided to send me to Dallas that weekend. Grrrrrr! So I gave my tickets to my Dad so he could take my son Elijah to the game.

So I'm in Dallas wearing my Redskins gear and not a soul said a word to me. Heck I had to ask them and 1 guy said they really hate the Giants the most and that "we" the Redskins "made up the rivalry".

I still hate them and don't care what he said.
lol

One of my good friends and golfing buddies is a Dallas fan, and another good friend I ride motorcycles with is a die hard Dallas fan. Last year we were in the pub for the Monday Night game, he was wearing his Aikman jersey, and I had on my Cooley jersey. You should have seen his face when Brunell threw the first bomb for a TD, and it was even better on the second one. Talk about stunned, as he was talking mad shit the whole game. Priceless!

That guy is a moron......the rivalry dates back for many decades. Cowboys vs. Indians.....it makes sense....plus JKC wouldnt let black players on the team and dallas would...that created some heat. Dallas fans just seem really ignorant

Really? Haven't noticed that anywhere I've been. It's either Dallas or Redskins...not both. Unless they just are casual fans of football "oh I like both teams, I wish they could both win".

You mean the year before last as that happened in 05. Last year we won our game against them with the blocked FG and Taylor returned the ball like 30 yards and they tacked on another 15 for a face mask. We kicked a FG and won the game.

I was told the history of the Rivalry goes back to before Dallas had a Team and wanted to get into the NFL. This was in the late 1950's and the Redskins Owner Preston Marshal didn't want them in and was going to Vote no.

The Cowboys found that Corrine Griffith the wife of Redskins Owner Preston Marshall had not copyrighted the song that she wrote called.... HAIL TO THE REDSKINS. They quickly did and basicly blackmailed the Redskins into voting to allow them into the NFL which they did to get the rights to the song back.

BASTARD Cowbuckers!

I can't site my source on this. Sorry. Believe it or Not?
