That was a coming out party for Jason Campbell. All the analysts were impressed with his poise and ability to execute under pressure. He obviously needs to improve his accuracy and touch but he demonstrates traits that some quarterbacks never obtain.
Even though I'm pumping up Campbell's play, the win was a total team effort and there were a lot of game balls to go around. The offensive line play was excellent, especially considering losing the entire right side of the line. The defensive line pressure was good. It wasn't spectacular but it forced a few hurried throws by McNabb and generated a couple of coverage sacks. The secondary was outstanding. I was critical of the Redskins drafting Landry but I'm starting to see the light. Taylor and Landry is one hell of a one-two punch. Come across the middle if you dare. BAM!!!! Body bags!!!!!!

Gotta be Saunders. He called a great game, and gave JC the opportunities to build up his confidence. JC did a very good job, but if Norv is calling that game, JC gets hammered.
Leave Norv alone. He's got enough problems right now.

I'd give it to GW. He's got the defense playing great. When JC threw the pick it was HUGE to hold them to a FG.

Does anyone realize that if Campbell had completed that pass to Moss that his QB rating would have been around 95?
However I'm going to give a gameball to the front seven for getting after McNabb like theres no tomorrow.

No question...Campbell.
He showed me a lot last night. Sure he missed Santana, but he does well with the long ball. Had a couple drops and didn't let it rattle him. What impressed me most is the fact that he can scramble with the best of them, but understands this is a pocket passer game, and only uses his legs as a last resort. He needs to work on his shorter passes, and this kid could be a hall of famer in the future. Very impressive!

Cornelius Griffin. I thought he played even better than he normally does.

Gotta be Campbell he made some great throws last night and a few nice ones that should have been caught. I liked the way he was able to convert on a lot of third downs, specifically the play to Yoder where he escaped the pocket and still had the presence of mind to drop it off to his TE for the yardage. That play was great.
He also made a few nice runs and the pass to Cooley was a thing of beauty for the TD. I hope he keeps this up and connects with Santana next week.

I'm going to have to give it to Gregg Williams, the defensive secondary played amazing tonight and that is really what got us the win.

Gregg Williams gets my vote. To hold the Eagles out of the endzone on MNF in their home opener is outstanding. I'm thrilled with the D. Three sacks too!

Jason, he is a young QB with few starts playing on MNF with thousands and thousands of fans yelling and he made the needed plays. Oh, and it was Philly in there house.
