I was just reading in NFL.com that the last time Wade faced Kearse (was back 2003) Wade surrendered 2 sacks, a forced fumble, QB hurrie and 9 tackles. I hope he plays a lot better than that or we are in for a long night. I know that was 4 years and a few surgeries ago, so will see.

Kearse was a different player then

Yeah, I think Kearse a bit over-rated now. He has seen plenty of injuries and as slowed down significantly. I think Wade can handle him, and if not then put in Heyer, I know my man Heyer can do it ;)!

come on now, would you rather have Heyer in or Wade? A undrafted rookie or an established veteran?
When Wade stepped in for Jansen, was he going against DE Will Smith? I'm not sure..

not to wish injury on anyone, but it seems like every time i watch the eagles, Kearse is always hurt. i say Wade got it covered

Different Kearse, different team.
I'd suggest that Kearse still has an edge on Wade in most passing situations if they're one-on-one. Kearse has never been a run defender, though, so I'd expect about ten calls of Counter Trey Right on Monday.

I just hope Wade can hanndel him or well lose Cooley to blocking all night

This is a big challenge, no doubt--though I agree it's not the same Kearse as with Tenn. But this is one of the few games of the season the Kearse will be healthy, most likely, so it won't be easy. Making him defend the run is a good plan.

Kearse wasn't injury prone then

I have a very high opinion of my main man Todd Wade. Don't get me wrong, I wish we had Jansen because he's a superior run-blocker. But I don't think we lose a thing by going from Jansen to Wade when it comes to pass protection.
I say Kearse lays a goose egg. No sacks.
